@cultofpedagogy@ColinESeale I continue to improve my own classroom by embracing mistakes that students make. I do this by following your step of anticipating mistakes that can occur. I am working with students who have previously been discouraged, how can I help encourage them to participate again?
@cultofpedagogy@joemhirsch I like the idea of providing feedback while the student is working on a task. They can see the feedback in action and know where to go next. In my classes I find it difficult to provide feedback during activities due to time constraints, any suggestions on how to overcome this?
@cultofpedagogy I am having issues with students getting out of their seats and being consistently told to sit down at their desk. This has caused assigned tasks to not be completed. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep them focused and at their desk? @afynclass

"Authoritarians and extremists, on the other hand, often merely have to
muddy the waters and weaken trust in general so that everyone is too fractured
and paralyzed to act" Crazy to think that this happens in social media #unboundeq
@EduPierotti I agree with you! I believe people think that just a simple thing like posting a picture about the issue will be helpful. But you do also need to step out and take action with others in person to make changes. #unboundeq
@BrittanyRochel6 That's the great thing about social media. It is a great way to spread awareness and even events, for example my family runs a 3on3 hockey tournament to raise money for cancer non-profit organization and social media helps us to reach more people #unboundeq
@KarleeParent Yeah it is a great place for sharing your opinion and connecting with individuals with the same opinions. But is it important to think about the people that will pop in and put their input that won't be necessarily what you want to hear, but don't let them change you. #unboundeq
@VickySchoenber1 That is so true, there is great information that is being shared on social media, but you do have to be conscious of what to believe and question it to ensure that it is viable. #unboundeq
@_ms_reka I feel the same as you! Its scary to think about how your information is being shared everywhere and it is no longer yours, it is everyone's. #unboundeq
@MlleCallaghan It is so true! The example I posted we actually brought over a Syrian family to save them from this war and they told us about how they have to pay to get out of the country and as soon as they leave they are no longer a citizen. Its scary stuff!! #unboundeq
"It was a difficult image to see: a young woman lay
bleeding to death on the sidewalk" This part of the article spoke to me
because the writer mentioned how in the past this picture would not exist for
everyone to see, but now-a-days it is being shown everywhere. #unboundeq
For example, the Syrian Civil War that is happening right now, the Russians
and the United States post/broadcast stuff about one another that affects
people’s opinions about the situation, showing only certain pictures or sharing
certain information. #unboundeq
You can see it on
Facebook or in news articles/broadcasts and it has been difficult to avoid it
now. The Internet emphasis these posts in hopes of people to join their side of
it. #unboundeq
@LeoAnthonyP That is such a good point! People try to use them for freedom and to start change, but then that change is affected by negative opinions that alter it and add chaos. #unboundeq
@v_wade21@bonstewart I didn't realize this feature was available on an iPhone. I have an Android myself, so I do not know how much time I actually spend on my device. But that is a good idea so that we socialize rather than reading stuff off the Internet that influence us negatively #unboundeq
@bonstewart I have had it where one time I was talking to my boyfriend about marriage and then all of the sudden engagement rings showed up and places to get married around my area... creepy #unboundeq
Volunteering at McDonald's in Chatham, ON to raise money for Ronald McDonald House. The RMH helped my family during our time of need and I am happy I am able to help in return! #McHappyDay#McHappyDay2018
