No matter what happens over the next few days with the motel voucher program, permanent, stable, and affordable housing will remain a distant dream for far too many Vermonters. It does not have to be this way.

Both Rep Zephyr and I experienced swatting attempts (failed) yesterday at our separate residences.
The Advocate confirmed the attempts.
This is what the far right wants - when they can’t silence you, they resort to violence.

We are watching democracy fall before our eyes. Keep speaking up for your constituents, @ZoAndBehold, and we will stand behind you every step of the way. #LetHerSpeak
As I left the House chambers, I pressed my light to speak—a reminder that this legislature is removing 11,000 Montanans from discussion on every bill going forward.
I will always stand on behalf of my constituents, my community, and democracy itself.
Today 14 trans & nonbinary legislators expressed our concern to President Biden regarding the proposed Title IX policy change.
Trans people belong in sports. Policies must begin with the presumption of full inclusion & provide a pathway for participation in all levels of sports.
Rep. Art Peterson (R) and others have officially submitted the first and only piece of anti-trans legislation in Vermont. Our state is not exempt from the hateful legislation sweeping our nation. #VTPoli
The VPP Caucus opposes the Miscellaneous Elections bill, aiming to eliminate fusion candidates, weaken campaign finance regulations, and harm smaller parties in the process. We ask, Is this really a problem that Vermonters have been asking to solve? #Vermont#vtpoli#vpp
Thank you to Rep. Taylor Small for her leadership as a sponsor of this bill. Please join us at Pavillion 270 next to the State House or on the Legislative Caucus Youtube channel for our panel on Tuesday at noon for our panel with @ppnehealth, VARF, & @cvtdsa#vtpoli#vt
Congratulations to Representative Taylor Small (@taylorsmallvt) on being sworn into office and assigned to the House Committee on Human Services! #vtpoli
Proud to help make this change possible with @TaylorSmallVT and others, and to now see it in action! We see your daughter and will work hard to make sure she is affirmed and your family is safe in Vermont.
Episode 1 of our Democracy Dispatch podcast is live! We chat with Rep. @TaylorSmallVT about the @winooskivt Dome Project of 1979 and catch up with Rep. Amy Sheldon, about being chair of the restructured Environment & Energy Committee. Listen and subscribe: https://t.co/UNc9CgwJgr

When @GovPhilScott sets up a contrast between big cities with lots of resources and small communities with less, the picture changes as you increase the resolution.
Yes, rural areas are struggling. But so too are the most dense areas of our cities in Chittenden Co.
