@Kassia89671954 I have seen genetic test for dogs if they're not pure breeds. You can find out the mix of breeds your dog is through a similar type of test. #prescottgenomics

@nessiethelock I also found, in the gene that I looked at, that a missense variant cause the most amount of damage as well. In your data I see that the next most damaging would be the start lost which is another form or missense mutation that affect the start codon. #prescottgenomics

This is a variant table of the ERRB2 gene. This table is showing the type of mutations this gene can go through and the level of affect this mutation has. #prescottgenomics

What I found interesting about this is that the type of mutation that had the most devastating effect was the missense variants. It just goes to show that a change in a single base pair can have drastic affects on the rest of the system. #prescottgenomics

@bluebirdbio is a company working on gene editing along with cancer immunotherapy. Theyre working on using generically modified specific cells from a patient's T cells to target and destroy cancer cells. Also using homing endonuclease and megaTAL in gene editing #prescottgenomics
