@nessiethelock I agree that testing should be prioritized for those suspected to be ill. I've seen suggestions that random population sampling should be done to determine disease spread. Once more tests are available, maybe comprehensive population testing can be done. #prescottgenomics

@nessiethelock This review compares carbohydrates, which we are studying now, to proteins. An interesting bit: "After a high-protein breakfast a decreased protein and increased carbohydrate preference related to increased pre-lunch liking related signaling in the putamen". #prescottbiochemistry

@nessiethelock One thing I find curious is how physical activity is not correlated with three month post-stroke serum level, but is correlated with the change overtime. I suppose this means specific levels are not related with physical activity, but with just change. #prescottgenomics

An exome study identified an ALS linked gene DNAJC7 that "encodes a DNAJ molecular chaperone, which facilitates ... folding of newly synthesized polypeptides, and clearance of degraded proteins." Curious given neurodegenerative diseases show protein aggregation. #prescottgenomics

Uterine leiomyomata (UL) is a female reproductive tract neoplasm. "[G]enes previously associated with endometriosis ... are also associated with UL". Relevant to our curriculum is that 23andme, a consumer genetic testing service, was used in this research. #prescottgenomics

@Taylor_Allyce Honestly, it is probably has merit and is a novelty. It may be based off actual research and have legitimate cause to researched, i.e. pain applications, but genes don't always express themselves in expected ways. #prescottgenomics
