This course definitely went deeper into topics we may have glanced over in the past. Which in turn allows us to build on our foundations! #prescottbiochemistry
I think a big thing that this course helped me with was being able to put all my prior knowledge together and have it make more sense than the first (or second) time around. Definitely have a better grasp of enzymes now! #prescottbiochemistry
Hey LejIa! I definitely agree that getting into the habit of weekly assignment can be a bit tough at the start but It's quite rewarding once you've got it down! #prescottbiochemistry
The most challenging part of this course was having to self disciple myself to learn the material thoroughly. I learned time management, organization and productivity. Biocehm twitter has helped me network and get to know nearby biotech businesses!

What I liked most about this course was how easy it was to review the material. There were many options: answering Peerwise questions, rewatching the lectures, reviewing the supp. res., etc. which let me cover the same topic without it getting stale. #prescottbiochemistry
The best part about this course was how methodical everything was. There was a set schedule and we stuck with it. I found the peerwise questions to be most helpful and was surprised at how effective they were at enforcing the material. Good Luck everyone! #prescottbiochemistry
The attachment of the phosphate group to the glycogen synthase inhibits glycogen synthase from performing its enzymatic functions thus rendering it inactive.
If phosphate is not attached then the synthase molecule is active. #prescottbiochemistry
The Citric acid cycle was skimmed over back in highschool bio then further expanded on in Microbiology but we dove deep in learning about all the aspects that play a part this time around in #prescottbiochemistry
A resource that I've been using and found helpful enough to recommend to others is the YouTube channel Professor Dave Explains. I found his video on transcription and translation quite helpful! #prescottbiochemistry

@EugeniaFedorov Hey Eugenia, here's an article that discusses the impact of our diet on the gut microbiota and how it's associated with autoimmune diseases. Interesting stuff! #prescottbiochemistry https://t.co/KwfLIdGoer
@Olivia15Rose Hello Olivia, Here's another article I found on The National Center for Biotechnology Information discussing the role of adipose tissue in specifically farm animals. Hope this helps! #prescottbiochemistry
