Cars parked on pavement
Im an active wheelchair user of many years
l asked police they did nothing
Took matters into my hands - nice deep long scratch - opps. Did the job!
Wonder if you could use discrimination law - as impacting on you!
Stay Strong!
Am wheelchair user, use Stirling bus station. How do l access coach from stance? Coach has centre door & ramp. However from Stance no way to get to 2nd door. Kerb is to high, about 8 inches, no drop kerb.
(Unless im wrong)
Sounds impossible - please advise
Thank You.
Purchased your
“Rose & Vanilla candle “
supplied in canister. Has a very intense fragrance which is positive.
On a very negative tone - candle burned in the middle, leaving a deep well, greater part of wax was left, once wick burned out.
Very Disappointed!
@bus_oma Hi Bus Lady! Do you know if bus drivers are trained on skills of having a wheelchair user on the bus? As a wheelchair user l find it scary with certain drivers. Hard acceleration, excessive braking, l just cling on hoping l wont be a statistic!
Any views?
Accessibility @ Fletchers. The carpark is extremely uneven, rough surface, with some potholes. This is unsafe for wheelchair users. Inside via ramp leads you to service area, less than appealing. Sometimes staff members smoking by this entrance. No real signage. Plz improve
@KatiePennick The old “Guard will get you off routine!”. Its as if we are a sack of crap, to be discarded!
As for assistance at Waterloo there are usually 2 members of staff to manage the whole of the large station.
Staff are wonderful- but system is broken beyond repair.
Enjoy the Wedding!
@lomondtrossachs I was enjoying Loch Lubnaig tranquility today, which is motor boat free. A moderately sized power boat was on the loch.
Question - Should this occur again, who should this be reported to?
Thank You
@FrankRGardner Not much “Special in the way disabled people are treated in UK!”
Same as when l travel by train. (Wheelchair User). Been left in trains at Waterloo numerous times. Usually rescued by passengers. Maybe compensation is required due to their miserable frequent failures!
@PatORei33419351 @humdrumdrummer@soniasodha@Gatwick_Airport We are collateral damage- happens on Planes, Trains, Coaches-we struggle to board buses, when wheelchair space in use - feels as if we are an after thought
@polmaisecc Any news on when Zebra Crossing will be operational with flashing lights?
Also raised humps at bus stop for step free bus access are great - please roll out further please. Thank You
@Nina__Tame Really enjoyed watching your article on BBC!
How is it that some people feel it is ok, to approach a wheelchair user (who they dont know). Then engage in conversation (thats ok). But then physically touch (really, really not ok)
Let alone ask personal questions - NO!
