@JillBelch Climate deniers who point to ‘normal CO2 cycles’ (which is true) forget that the cycle the cite goes back millions of years. Homo sapiens has only been around for 300,000 years. At no point in human history have CO2 levels been this high. Last time was 3 million years ago!
What an amazing experience! I had the good fortune to meet former US Secretary of State for Wisconsin, Doug La Follette, one of the early founders of Earth Day in 1970. You can read about it in our Nature & Climate Action website here: https://t.co/zUpZ7cFHfG. @EarthDay
An estimated 10 million pumpkins are grown each year just for Halloween. These autumn vegetables are delicious – so avoid food waste by making soup, stew or pie after carving Halloween lanterns. The seeds are tasty too!

Jane Goodall was an icon of hope and compassion.
With climate impacts hammering countries around the globe, her message is more vital than ever:
We are deeply interwoven with nature, and it is our shared responsibility to protect the gift that is our planet.

Hello October! Or should that be Moth-tober? 🎃🦋
With autumn well underway, keep an eye out for these butterflies and moths in your gardens and local green spaces.
As the leaves change colour & fall from the trees - don't be so keen to tidy them!
🍂 🍃
They play an important role in the lifecycles of many species - from butterflies to #hedgehogs!
🦋🦔💤
If you must tidy gardens, leave a designated patch or corner untouched for #wildlife
