Jan-Willem van Schip disqualified again… 🤷🏼♂️
For the second time in less than a year, Jan-Willem van Schip has been disqualified by the UCI… this time just before the start of the second stage of the Tour of Hellas in Greece.
The reason: his unconventional aerodynamic riding position and bike setup. According to the UCI, the way Van Schip held his handlebars violated equipment regulations.
But his team insists everything was approved and documented beforehand. Teammates and staff even called the decision “pure harassment.”
@codydmaldonado @HankFrank@Alan_Couzens Maintenance is key, try a good lube or even better WAX, choose here : https://t.co/0YhR5OqCzk
Also a good quality chain (not the lower tier one)
@TheManUptownn asked me a great question about my "Cycling Knowledge System" for AI:
How should you approach adding articles and papers to the knowledge base?
I would consider the following...
The UCI has introduced a new tool to measure the height of a tyre’s sidewall to ensure setups remain within the maximum 700mm diameter permitted tyre-and-rim combination 📏
The 3D-printed tool slots over the top of the tyre, allowing a visual check to confirm the sidewall sits within the permitted bounds 🎺
This enables commissaires to quickly check wheels without needing to measure the full diameter, which would be impractical before a race 🔥
