@corecoachdave @WallStreetApes I'm my county, public schools are mandated to use locks from a specific company. Insurance requires a licensed locksmith to do the install or they won't cover any break-ins. County gets around this by having a licensed locksmith on staff so all they pay is the price of the locks.

@GrayWolf448 @Terrakoon It's stolen goods so they gotta get the police involved and the police has to recover it. The center had refused to give the suit to another person who tried to rescue it.

@reeceollld Everyone keeps saying the guy should have made a U-Turn but most railroad crossings (at least in my area) do not have the arms on the other side of the track, only on one side for each direction of travel. So they probably could have just kept driving forward.

@ZylyTheFox At the same time I see why a lot of furries work in government. Here in Florida government employees don't really get fired unless they mess up big time (i.e. crashing a gov car into a building because they were texting), neglect their work for months on end, or break the law.

@barge_arse @airlinevideos Actually I think the captain (or ATC) chose to go-around because (possibly) the plane on the runway took too long to take-off. Those jet engines create powerful wake turbulence so proper separation needs to be maintained to prevent them from affecting landing aircraft.

@HultgrenBrandon @BN9 The county has already purchased the icot center if you look it up on the appraiser site. I think there was a headline about it back in 2024/2025. Their plan is to demo the site and construct a new campus for everything. The flea market there has already moved to Gandy Blvd.

@RealAshlar This happened to a guy behind me on a JetBlue flight but it was because someone's bottle spilled in their bag. You'd think the would have done more than give you paper towels. Hope you get compensation at least.

@XXTompkin19 @xeviuniverse I wouldn't be too sure just yet. It's fully expected that the prosecution is going to appear for a higher sentence. A Korean law firm has already filed a petition for them to do so. (Source: Atozy)

@BonageChibueze You know, if you think about it, if the cops did take the blood sample from them without a warrant, a lawyer could easily get it thrown out. Any evidence obtained from an illegal search and seizure is tainted. "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" as it's called.

@thethiny @22Kingmaxx Yeah, we self-host GitLab using a VPS and our own domain. Of course if you got a spare computer you can turn into a server you could run everything from home. My friend set it up for me but there's plenty of tutorial videos out there on YouTube.

@IbrahimBineh @gotrice2024 This was back when the POS Systems were more manual and gave a lot of control to the store. Now they're using new software that's super locked down and is controlled by corporate. (Which sucked because we lost a good amount of customers just outside our area from the switch)

@IbrahimBineh @gotrice2024 I'm glad things like this were rare in that area. Though one time I did look into deleting a customer's address from the system once so they couldn't order delivery anywhere but I would have gotten in a lot of trouble for tampering with it 😅
