@stbessgirl Sooner or later, we will have to decide if we want to hang onto our fears of Covid19 or, allow children to get an education.
The former is preventing the latter.
🇵🇦 Footage of the Centenario Bridge in Panama after a 7.7 earthquake, with traffic still moving across it.
And it was a powerful one. The quake struck roughly 200 km from Panama City, but the shaking was still felt in the capital.
Despite that, the Panama Canal and this major bridge appear to be intact so far.
A good reminder of how solid engineering can make all the difference when the ground starts shaking.

I don't want to make a martyr of the Fort Hood terrorist. @POTUS@SecWar if you really want to deter future Islamist terrorists, use fear and shame in their executions. All-female firing squads with bullets dipped in bacon fat.
Craziest part about the Cornell 7 story is how TMZ has been doing the most honest reporting out of ALL OF THE MEDIA.
TMZ quite literally bitch slapped the NYTimes/ABC by leaking the entirety of the messages that they were sitting on.
Crazy time to be alive.

The rain may end this drought. It will not solve the structural problem.
Water security is economic infrastructure. If we are serious about growth, food security, tourism, manufacturing and housing, we cannot keep treating water as an afterthought.
We either build resilience now, or we keep paying for emergencies later.
The choice is ours.
🚨We keep calling it a drought problem.
But if the same problem returns in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2025 and now 2026, it is no longer just a weather problem.
It is an infrastructure and planning problem.
@codi_fyy the part that gets me is people acting shocked a free email service mines your data. like babe the product was always you, the lawsuit is just the universe charging rent for all that denial.
If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this.
Google’s AI is now rifling through your inbox emails and attachments, bank statements, tax docs, medical letters, the whole stack. It was enabled by default, and that quiet rollout is now facing a class-action lawsuit.
Here are 5 steps to turn it off because the kill switch is buried in two different spots:
BREAKING: The US will livestream the Army's upcoming firing squad execution in December of Nidal Hasan, who shot and killed 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009, a Pentagon official said, in what would be an unprecedented move https://t.co/eCOxgVwPXJ
@shoe0nhead@LullabyForChaos The slow information drip is classic election shenanigans.
Best case : the story will drop off the radar after the mid-terms.
Worst case: New York State will pass laws removing the ability to consent from any woman who has tasted alcohol.
