No one young generation stands among them. B/se of their extremely oppressive leadership.
Where as young generation demands justice, rule of law respectfully human rights in #Eritrea#Bluerevolution
The #Eritrean totalitarian regime has once again aims to imposed restrictions on the flow of money into the country. This cannot be separated from its long-standing system of repression, which has sought to control and impoverish Eritreans financially, politically, and socially.
While senior military officials are widely accused of being involved in smuggling and human trafficking, the regime has shown little genuine commitment to dismantling these networks. Instead, it continues to tighten its grip on ordinary citizens.
For more than 80% of Eritrean families, remittances from relatives abroad are a primary source of income and often the only means of survival. Yet the regime has long exploited these remittances by enforcing an artificial official exchange rate while cracking down on the parallel market. The official exchange rate is reportedly worth only a fraction of the market value, meaning families lose a substantial portion of the money their relatives send before they can access it.
These new restrictions further deepen the economic hardship facing ordinary Eritreans. Rather than protecting citizens or improving livelihoods, the #PFDJ continues to expand system that leave families with fewer resources and greater economic insecurity.

A Victory for Justice. A Renewed Commitment to the People of Eritrea.
Today we celebrate an important victory for justice, accountability, and the universal principles of human rights. The successful renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Eritrea sends a powerful message: the international community remains committed to independent monitoring, truth, and accountability.
We extend our sincere appreciation to every Member State of the United Nations Human Rights Council that supported the renewal of this vital mandate. Your vote reaffirms that the voices of Eritrean victims, survivors, refugees, and families will continue to be heard. It demonstrates that justice cannot be silenced and that human dignity remains at the heart of international human rights efforts.
For the Blue Revolution, this is more than a diplomatic outcome—it is renewed hope. It strengthens our peaceful movement for justice, freedom, democracy, and respect for the fundamental rights of every Eritrean. We remain committed to advocating for accountability, supporting victims, amplifying the voices of those who cannot speak freely, and promoting a future where every Eritrean can live in dignity, peace, and freedom.
While we celebrate this achievement, our work is far from over. The renewal of the mandate is another important step—not the final destination. We call upon the international community to continue supporting independent human rights monitoring, protecting civic space, standing with victims, and encouraging meaningful accountability wherever human rights are violated.
Together, through peaceful advocacy and international solidarity, we will continue building momentum for a future where justice prevails over impunity, truth over silence, and hope over fear.
Thank you to everyone who stood on the right side of history.

Congratulations to Us. Our Voices Matter. The international community has once again recognized the serious human rights situation in Eritrea. 23 countries voted YES, 17 abstained, and only 6 voted NO on the UN Human Rights Council resolution. This is a reminder that the Eritrean people’s call for justice, freedom, dignity, and accountability cannot be ignored. The Blue Revolution represents a peaceful movement for democratic change and a future where every Eritrean can live without fear. 💙

Battle Intensifies Over UN Eritrea Rights Mandate
This week, UN Council members will decide not only who will become the next Special Rapporteur, but whether one of the United Nations’ longest-standing human rights mandates will continue
https://t.co/q0usSbHTyu
Eritrean civil societies appeal to the UN: Renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Eritrea.
The renewal of the mandate reflects the UN’s responsibility to uphold the universal principles of the United Nations Charter

Wrong. Z picture was taken 10 10yrs ago, inside z Dutch parliament when experts were invited alongside #Eritreans to speak about their situation. There was no brigadeN’hamedu then,& brigadeN’hamedu when established demanded democracy & respect 4 humanrightsinEritrea. #fakenews
If the Eritrean government doesn't think the UN Special Rapporteur's report is correct why doesn't it provide him with access to Eritrea to check the facts on the ground?

Is this appropriate?
Most UN agencies are not allowed to play a full role in Eritrea. The IMF, World Bank and other international organisations are unwelcome. The UN is committed to democracy - which Eritrea has never had.
How can Eritrea be an appropriate leader for others?
The great Eritrean people can be proud of gaining independence 35 years ago. But shame on the regime which has kept the nation as a prison camp and its citizens without rights. I hope Isaias does open to better US relations; that will speed his downfall.
