During science investigations, I usually make the classroom students join zoom. then I make groups with a mix of online & f2f students in breakout rooms. The ones in d lab can carry out experiments whilst those @home write observations. N.B all students have individual tablets

How do you hold a hybrid classroom without technical difficulties?

The Zoom on my laptop had disconnected audio whilst the tablet was connected to audio. I could move around the classroom hear students share ideas and speak freely without any group missing out on the discussion. This method is very good for whole-class discussion.

@TemitopeRay Here's a secret (I guessed) but here's the bigger secret that the global contexts are conceptual. They contain the concepts we should be talking about. Sustainability, Fairness, identity, Values, progress as global concepts eat the official key concepts for breakfast.

And something came up! if a portable water purifier is designed it can be put at stations where people wash their hands so that the dirty water is collected, purified and re-used. Happy world water day! #valuewater

So my grade 6 students had to each design a water purifier that neither uses electricity or gas. And this student made his purifier to carry out the processes of filtration and evaporation using sunlight... a thread

My students learned many things but I think they learnt more when they were asked to apply their understandings to solve problems.
