@ORENGBOSS And if the world is big I get new scenery but the world is spread too thin and would require so much more effort in achieve the same quality as a smaller map, the game can become less enjoyable as a racing game but gets to be a road trip simulator.
@ORENGBOSS An open world used poorly takes away from a game, if I'm playing a racing game but have the same area to race in it can get stale, if the world is small I reconize every area yet the routes are different so I do not get new scenery nor experience mastery of a track.
@ORENGBOSS But then a lot of people love driving in GTA, whether their following road laws are flooring it on public roads. I feel a big reason for this is just the ability to exit and enter the car. I don't know why but just being able to walk around a car brings so much to me personally.
@ORENGBOSS Well that's partly because that's how cars are in real life to many people, they drive to get places instead of simply to drive. Many people aren't interested in cars enough to enjoy driving so driving isn't something they want to do in a game.
