"I don't know if they realized I was a person".
We shared harrowing testimonies of women & girls survivors from #Tigray, who suffered rape, gang rape, torture & mutilation.
Survivors deserve justice & accountability.

.@UN hosting a conference on access to the internet in #Ethiopia is wrong. The gov't has imposed an internet blackout on #Tigray for 2yrs. The @intgovforum should hold #IGF2022 in a country that respects #freespeech and doesn't regularly block its citizens from internet access.
@Oolusegun_obj @Oolusegun_obj you are still alive because u r educated and have a callous attitude toward your concerns but what about the Tegaru people who are dying every second because of the human made hunger and the intentional sieges ?
This morning, I joined the Montgomery County Sister Cities for a silent humanitarian walk in solidarity and a call for peace worldwide.
I stand with our Ethiopian community as we continue to call out at stand against the genocide in Tigray.
Reports of renewed conflict in Northern #Ethiopia cast a shadow on the prospect for peace.
I call on all parties to deescalate the situation before it turns again into a full blown war.
Now is the time for peace talks.

The whole world is talking about Ukraine but no one is talking about my relatives in Tigray? How long will our people in Tigray suffer while the world ignores them? Is that who we are as Ugandans?
At this point, the international community is as responsible as the Ethiopian government & its cronies’ for the intentional extermination of Tigrayans through a weaponized starvation.

.#Eritrea invaded #Tigray in November 2020 & with Ethiopian forces sealed off 7 million people from the world. A truce was called 3+ weeks ago, but only 69 humanitarian trucks, 4% of the needs, have been allowed in. Situation is dire. People are dying, the siege must end for real
