2025 could be an incredible year for US-developed cryptos like $ADA, $HBAR, $XLM, $XRP and of course $ALGO.

According to the latest news and many sources like @oroogle, it's more than likely that the U.S. government under Trump will be determined to make America the crypto capital of the world.

It could notably involve eliminating all capital gains taxes on all U.S. cryptos to make them ultra-competitive.

Yes, all tax-free! 🇺🇸💸

This means these cryptos could become the obvious favorite investment for all U.S. residents, as they would no longer be subject to a tax of up to 37% on their gains! 🤯

This could be MASSIVE.

Especially for $ALGO!

👉 Algorand is the golden child of the MIT.

As you know, @MIT is America's tech pride and birthplace of most of the country's major innovations.

Algorand was born there.

Its founder, @silviomicali, an Italian-American and Turing Award winner in 2012 (often considered the Nobel Prize of computer science), has been a professor at MIT for over 40 years.

He's one of the most influential figures there, renowned for his fundamental contributions to mathematics, computer science, and cryptography! 🔥

We're talking about the Father of modern cryptography!

Day 2⃣0⃣: Algorand is seeing huge adoption in Italy, with big things ahead in 2025!

Algorand has always been closely connected to Italy, thanks to the massive influence in the country of its founder, Silvio Micali.

Italy, which is the 3rd largest economy in the Eurozone (after Germany and France) and the 8th largest economy in the world, is definitely one of the countries where Algorand is experiencing the most adoption! 🇮🇹

It's one of the most used blockchains by Italian startups, almost as much as #Ethereum! 🔥

We can even say that, in a certain way, #Algorand is physically present in Italy, as a private company based in Rome (~15 employees), Algorand Labs, in which Silvio Micali is involved, was launched in 2020!

They even did a rebranding along with an update of their website just a few months ago! 👀

The goal of Algorand Labs is simple: to offer institutions (in Italy but also in Europe) the best blockchain technology and the confidence to lead the transformation of the country and financial markets by developing solutions on $ALGO.

They even have great connections with the country's largest institutions!

Proof of this was their collaboration and involvement in a HUGE experiment with the @bancaditalia, which attempted to integrate #Algorand with the Target Instant Payment Settlement (TIPS) in order to find a viable way to develop a DvP (Delivery versus Payment) system to increase the use of cash on-chain and promote the exchange of securities over DLT systems.

They're also selected in 2022 by the FinTech Milano Hub to develop an infrastructure with the Bank of Italy to issue and trade BTP Retail bonds on #Algorand, usable both in Italy and abroad! 🤯

But apart from Algorand Labs, many other projects in Italy use Algorand, including some companies that you are probably very familiar with!

I'm specifically thinking of @lavazzagroup, one of the most renowned and oldest coffee brands in the world, which uses $ALGO for its supply chain of the La Reserva De ¡Tierra! Cuba coffee range (currently available for sale worldwide!), considered by their CEO as the biggest project of the Lavazza Foundation since its creation in 2004! ☕️

👉 Over 112 tons of coffee are already fully traceable on Algorand, representing 112,000 packs of coffee (1kg)!

We're not talking about just a certified coffee, but a fully traceable coffee through blockchain.

From the field to the cup.

Consumers can easily scan a QR code on the packages and access complete, reliable, real-time information about the entire supply chain (including air temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed/direction, soil moisture, etc...), all time-stamped in an immutable and transparent way on #Algorand! 🔥

This is insane, and when you consider Lavazza's commitment to sustainability and its many social or environmental initiatives, I think we're at the beginning of something big. Very big.

For the fact, another coffee brand, @CafeBarbera1870, the oldest Italian coffee roasting company with over 150 years of history, based in Naples, also uses $ALGO for the traceability of its supply chain!

In another field, the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (@SIAE_Official), the oldest and largest copyright collecting agency in Italy, founded in 1882, has minted over 4 million NFTs on Algorand to secure copyrights for more than 95,000 creators! 🤯

One of the Italian projects I find the most impressive is probably @EZLab_solutions, which uses $ALGO to create digital product passports for supply chains.

You definitely have no idea how many brands in Italy are collaborating with them across EVERY sector, whether it's fashion (such as Carrera, Peron, MonnaLisa), design (Mezzaluna, Tonin Casa), beauty (Gabor), or agrifood (Alce Nero, Foglie d’Oro, Placido Volpone, Rodolfi), etc....

We're talking about thousands (or maybe even millions?) of products whose authenticity and origin are guaranteed to consumers on #Algorand!

If you're interested in learning more, I highly recommend following @Mere289, who does an incredible job cataloging all the use cases of $ALGO in Italy (and trust me the list is extremely long)! 🫡

Personally, the thing that excites me the most about 2025 in Italy is this:

👉 In December 2022, #Algorand was officially chosen by @bancaditalia as the exclusive public blockchain for Italy's "Digital Sureties" platform, developed by
@CeTIF1, to digitize and secure the issuance of bank and insurance guarantees using blockchain technology.

This was a huge announcement, marking the very first time an EU member state committed to using blockchain technology for such a purpose!

After more than a year of delay due to a new regulatory change introduced by the Italian Government, the platform was launched last September! 🔥

CeTif's CEO even confirmed to me that #Algorand is still the only public blockchain powering the platform!

For those who may not be familiar: bank and insurance guarantees (also known as surety bonds) are promises made by institutions (banks, insurance companies..) to protect a person or business against the risk of a contract not being fulfilled.

We're talking about a multi-billion $ market, involving industries like construction, finance, and more... 💸

Today, most of these guarantees are issued as paper documents or simply as JPG/PDF files, but that's about to change thanks to DLT/blockchain!

Italy is leading the way in Europe by pushing hard to digitize surety bonds on blockchain, to drastically improve efficiency and transparency while reducing fraud and other risks.

A game-changing point is that in the summer of 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Authority of Italy released an important statement saying that starting January 2025, a new regulation will require the use of a distributed ledger system (blockchain) for the issuance and management of surety bonds in Italy! 🇮🇹

And here's something to blow your mind: the Digital Sureties platform by @CeTIF1, exclusively using #Algorand as its public blockchain, is the only system fully compliant with these new requirements, giving it a huge advantage over any potential competitors!

THIS IS MASSIVE for $ALGO! 🤯

Just think about it: #Algorand is about to become a key infrastructure in Italy, fully supported by the Italian government.

What's even more interesting? A 10% reduction in guarantees will be granted to Italian companies using the Digital Sureties platform!

What better way to encourage a quick transition from "traditional sureties" (paper docs, JPG/PDF, etc.) to "digital sureties" using DLT/blockchain? 🤌

This will create a strong incentive for businesses (especially those participating in public tenders), to adopt this solution quickly.

Let's be clear: the current $ALGO price action is a joke.

Whether you're considering its fit-for-purpose tech (see Days 9, 11, 15), its great tokenomics (see Day 2, 17), its accessibility at all levels (see Days 14, 16), or its growing number of real-world use cases driving strong buying pressure for the token (see Days 5, 6, 12, 18, 19, 20), all signals are green for $ALGO in 2025! ✅

Today, from a factual standpoint, there is absolutely no justification for #Algorand to be behind many of other alts in terms of market capitalization, except in terms of awareness, and huge efforts are being made to address that.

IMO, when looking at the adoption market targeted by Algorand, even in the short term, anything below $1 is a complete steal.

Day 1⃣4⃣: Algorand enters 2025 as one of the easiest blockchains for participating in the consensus!

One thing that always fascinates people when they start exploring how #Algorand works is the elegance of its protocol.

The Pure Proof of Stake (PPoS) used by $ALGO is a pure marvel!

Today, many blockchains use PoS, often for energy consumption reasons, but PoS - in its raw form - is probably one of the worst things that has happened to decentralization.

PoS/dPoS often leads to centralization issues, with power concentrated in the hands of a few players, where the majority of users have absolutely no chance of influencing the consensus, and where true decentralization is sidelined in favor of delegation, thereby disempowering users at the individual level within the network!

By creating Algorand, @silviomicali wanted to create a network where anyone, even with limited resources, could individually participate in consensus and contribute to its security.

Silvio wasn't interested in semi-decentralization.
Silvio wanted pure decentralization.

That's exactly why he developed Pure Proof of Stake (PPoS), $ALGO's consensus mechanism, which is the only way to achieve true decentralization!

You have a standard machine? You can join! ✅
You only have a limited stake? You can join! ✅

Thanks to the VRF technology (Verifiable Random Function), also invented by Silvio Micali, each new block proposer and all validator committees on Algorand are selected completely randomly, without communication with users and in a deterministic way!

When participating in consensus, each $ALGO you own is like a kind of lottery ticket... Everyone has the same chances!

Sometimes, you can even see validators proposing blocks with less than 1 ALGO! (0.1A is the minimum stake)

For the fact, that's why the name "Algorand" (Algorithmic Randomness).

In addition, it makes attacking the network by malicious actors difficult because, unlike PoS, it's impossible to know who to target in advance!

So yes, PPoS is a true marvel of decentralization, and with the introduction of staking rewards and the P2P gossip network (see days 2 and 3 for more information), Algorand will become the most decentralized blockchain EVER! 🔥

Day 9⃣: 2025 will make Algorand even more post-quantum resistant!

If there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that in a few years, post-quantum security will be at the heart of many concerns.

It might even become the next big crypto narrative, and #Algorand will be ready!

Tbh, if there's one thing that makes me super bullish on $ALGO, it's that it often stays one step ahead of the competition.

I mean, while most other chains are busy struggling to solve scalability issues, improve txn finality, reduce congestion, lower gas fees, avoid shutting down, or whatever else, #Algorand (already a mature chain and fit for purpose) can confidently focus on future challenges.

Post-quantum resistance is one of them.

NGL, although the threat isn't immediate, it's definitely something that needs to be taken seriously, and there's no telling it won't happen sooner than we expect, given the progress in quantum computing (quantum algorithms, etc).

If tomorrow it becomes possible for quantum attacks to break current cryptographies, it would be catastrophic for many many sectors, and crypto would obviously be heavily impacted, potentially becoming completely obsolete if post-quantum cryptography solutions are not implemented in time.

Why? Because cryptos mainly rely on cryptographic algorithms such as RSA, ECDSA and ECDH to secure transactions and ensure data integrity.

Tomorrow, a very powerful quantum computer could potentially use algorithms to solve these mathematical problems much faster than classical computers. This would make these algorithms vulnerable to attacks, compromising the security of private keys used for digital signatures! 😬

So, the implementation of post-quantum cryptography solutions is essential to protect the future of #web3!

And for that, as I mentioned earlier, Algorand is truly one step ahead of the entire crypto industry!

$ALGO is currently one of the rare blockchains/DLTs that already has post-quantum security, and in fact, we can already say that $ALGO is 1/3 of the way toward complete resistance to quantum attacks! 🔐

In 2022, #Algorand implemented Falcon Keys (post-quantum signature algorithms), used by State Proofs (trustless interoperability), to protect the full integrity of the chain's history!

FYI, on Algorand, a state proof (which is post-quantum resistant) is generated approximately every 10 minutes (256 blocks), ensuring the reliable state of the blockchain's history.

This means that after this time, a transaction on $ALGO can be considered quantum secure! How crazy is that? 🤯

Another massive point is that #Algorand also probably has some of the world's top experts in post-quantum cryptography on its team

I'm particularly thinking of @ChrisPeikert, Head of Cryptography at @Algorand, whose work forms the basis of Falcon, one of the select few post-quantum signature schemes chosen by @NIST!

The @AlgoFoundation roadmap for 2025 hasn't been released yet, but according to @JohnAlanWoods, a nice part will focus on improving Algorand's post-quantum security. This is really bullish.

In addition to being crucial for the future security of the chain, this sends a strong message to all potential builders looking to develop infra or projects for the long term on #Algorand:

Day 3⃣: In 2025, Algorand will become a true model of decentralization!

Currently, the #Algorand network operates with two types of nodes:

👉 Participation nodes (or consensus nodes), which participate in consensus and can easily be run by anyone who wants to help secure the network, like you and me.

👉 Relay nodes, whose main role is to optimize data propagation across the network. Think of them as the "highways" of the network!

While relay nodes don't participate in consensus, they've been a frequent point of criticism regarding $ALGO's decentralization, often due to a misunderstanding of how the network operates.

Why? Because relay nodes are somewhat permissioned. Actually, anyone can run a relay node, but it must first be approved by the @AlgoFoundation.

Currently, there are around 75 relay nodes and 1,700+ participation nodes running worldwide on Algorand!

Algorand's network today is based on a hub-and-spoke model, meaning participation nodes can't communicate directly with each other, all data must pass through relay nodes.

But here's the big news: that's about to change! 🔥

The @AlgoFoundation is actively working on transitioning $ALGO to a P2P gossip network, expected to roll out by Q1 2025 (TBC)!

In this new P2P model:

✅ Participation nodes will be able to communicate directly with each other.

This is actually a key metric for the long-term sustainability of the network.

Since transaction fees on #Algorand are extremely low and fixed (0.001 $ALGO per txn), it's crucial for the network to maintain a significant level of on-chain activity.

Why? Because, in the long run, transaction fees will be the exclusive source of rewards for validators on the network. As a result, it's important for this process to remain profitable for those securing the network and to ensure that enough revenue is generated to fairly remunerate them! 🧑‍💻🌐

And here's the great news: revenues generated by $ALGO literally skyrocketed in 2024 compared to 2023, thanks to growing on-chain activity, including increased real-world adoption!

We're talking about a 10x increase over just one year! 🤯

In 2025, we can definitely expect #Algorand's revenue to continue growing significantly, as many great things are set to launch on the mainnet.

I'm thinking, for example, of new airlines starting to use $ALGO via @travelX, generating massive on-chain activity, or promising projects like @KeoWorld teased by @marcvl!
