Challenging the use of cars doesn't inherently advocate for public transport. The real conversation should focus on holistic solutions for Dublin's mobility & vitality. Metro Dublin offers a cohesive strategy that aligns with, & enhances, existing & future plans - see Map #Dublin
Throughout @sdublincoco area a cycle and walking network is evolving.
High quality Active Travel infrastructure will hopefully enable many in our community to cycle safely for their daily journeys.
Here is a taster of the latest project!

We need to plant many more native trees in urban spaces, and better protect and value existing ones. This helps nature and wildlife. It's #ClimateAction. It reduces floods, pollution and urban heating. And it improves our lives. More: https://t.co/Lf4hmg5SKa Via @nature_org
Avoid watering grass in dry weather - sprinklers can use as much water in one hour as a family uses in 24 hours. To keep grass looking good, mow less often - long grass stays green, and is a cool refuge for wildlife.

RTÉ’s @GeorgeLeeRTE imploring the 🇮🇪 government to get it finger out and do something to bring down our greenhouse gas emissions💨
If we don’t get our act together, we’ll have to pay out a fortune 💶 in fines… And we’ll still have to get our act together thereafter! 🤦🏻♂️
Europe has lost *half a billion* birds over the past half century.
How could anyone argue that now is not the time to #RestoreNature?

So @coilltenews "had by far the worst record, which reflected a huge rise in the number of information requests related to forestry practices last year. It refused 587 out of 679 requests made to it." #shockingnews#nosurprise
So much for planting new forests or rewilding new areas of Dublin mountains, why not suopport and protect the ones we already have also. #Savethehellfire@greenparty_ie@EamonRyan
Welcome news but sadly over the road at the Hellfire all these trees will be destroyed to make way for 300 car spaces for a €22M+ #VanityProject in a significant move that will destroy nature!

It’s great to welcome back @longitudefest with such an amazing lineup but we need your help to help our #litterpickers by ensuring our area is #litterfree ? We have very few #litter bins in our area still waiting since 2018 for @sdublincoco to provide 8 new ones & relocate 2 bins
The owner said in their sub to ABP that @sdublincoco failed to address his proposition of Killakee House as an alternative site, despite @AnTaisce & others being in support. The current car park is accessible to Killakee House. #NoBrainer#capacity#Sustainability#History
We need a Metro for South Dublin, not Bus Corridors that that will force bigger traffic jams, 1000s of cars and trucks into local residential side Roads, CPO of Green spaces and removal of healthy trees urban vegetation. Bad planning has led to this.
@metrodublin@MetroForDublin
The NTA recently submitted a planning application to ABP for Templeogue/Rathfarnham to City Centre Bus Corridor . Local Resident Associations,like below, need to make your local residents aware of the affects of plans in your area, like getting to work, school or Hospitals?
