Did you know there was a DEC Alpha version of Winamp!? Thanks to the es1370 patch, you can even enjoy MP3's of the ALPHA POWERED Generation!
Party like it's 1999!
A WORLD FIRST!!!
Windows NT 4.0 for DEC Alpha systems can now finally boot under the es40 emulator! This has been made possible by the efforts of gdwnldsKSC on GitHub, with additional testing by @virtuallyfun and I!
The earliest DOS source code was found on printer paper in Tim Paterson's garage so we've open sourced it on 86-DOS 1.00’s 45th anniversary! This is next-level software archaeology for study, preservation, and plain ol’ curiosity. Go dig in and learn how it was recovered! #DOS #RetroComputing

Just shipped a WinDbg x64 extension that turns live disassembly into verified pseudocode via LLM — chunked multi-pass analysis, in-process HTTP, mock fallback, and a verification pass that cross-checks LLM output against original analysis facts.

💾 Vibe coded an entire dial-up TCP/IP stack for my TUI OS https://t.co/1uskGoglfJ to get to the internet so it can now too browse the web
It uses the same ISP as https://t.co/M1hEUBAynC does which is https://t.co/Dbxr5wovpF (a real dial up provider) and then the browser routes you to my HTTP-proxy https://t.co/6tRObkZbZa (because it doesn't support HTTPS yet) so you can open modern websites with it
WebSocket → HDLC framing → PPP → LCP/EAP/IPCP → IPv4 → UDP → DNS (one round trip) → IPv4 → TCP (3-way handshake) → HTTP/1.0 → https://t.co/6tRObkZbZa HTTP reverse proxy → HTML parse → render in OS browser -> render in your browser
Also we have some techno in the music player now (not good yet)

Ripgrep is slow.
Nowgrep is fast, because I bypass the Windows slop and go straight to NTFS.
Here's Ripgrep vs. Nowgrep searching through 300k files on a drive with 2M+.
Nowgrep is written from scratch in C99.
No borrow checker.
It had to be done 😅
