Trump has to not only go hard, but finish the fight completely with no more backing down. No more 40 days of war followed by 90 days of talks.

As of today he's left with no other option.

Otherwise he has to explain to the American people how many lives are worth sacrificing in the name of MOUs, endless talks, failed nuclear deal and appeasement.

The only alternative to total victory, is to let the IRGC get away with murder of American servicemen. Which is unacceptable.
