It was both an honour and a profound privilege to serve as Chief Host at the Grand Finale of the Renewed Hope 2nd Edition of the West African Horse Racing Derby, held at Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna. The occasion was further enriched by the distinct responsibility entrusted to me to deliver the goodwill message of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to an august gathering of participants, traditional rulers, distinguished guests, and equestrian enthusiasts from across Nigeria and the West African sub-region. The championship once again demonstrated the remarkable capacity of sport to transcend borders, celebrate our shared heritage, and strengthen the bonds of friendship among our peoples.

The President's message underscored the enduring role of sport as a powerful instrument for promoting national unity, preserving our rich cultural heritage, empowering young people, and advancing regional integration. It also reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Federal Government to harnessing sports as a catalyst for economic growth, social inclusion, youth development, and national cohesion under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

As Governor of Kaduna State, I was delighted to welcome our esteemed guests and to host this prestigious championship in our great State. Our administration remains resolute in prioritising investments in sports infrastructure and youth development because we recognise that sport is far more than recreation. It is a strategic vehicle for peacebuilding, talent development, economic opportunity, and human capital advancement.

I warmly congratulate all the winners on their outstanding performances and commend every participant for exemplifying discipline, excellence, and sportsmanship. I also reaffirmed that horse racing, like every major sporting discipline, must increasingly evolve into a sustainable platform for job creation, enterprise, and youth empowerment. I commend the Horse Racing Federation of Nigeria, the National Sports Commission, and all partners whose vision and dedication have transformed this Derby into one of West Africa's foremost sporting and cultural spectacles.

Governor Uba Sani has arrived at Umar Musa Yar’adua Hall to attend the 2025 Kaduna Unity Christmas Carol at Murtala Square Kaduna.

It would be recalled that last year, the Governor also attended the Christmas carol. This singular act shows the inclusive leadership style of Governor Uba Sani in bringing people together irrespective of their religion or tribe.

The Kaduna State Government organises this event in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chapter.

In a major move aimed at ensuring even and balanced development across the state, I performed the groundbreaking for two strategic road projects: the Durum–Kuruntumawa road in Makarfi LG, and the Hunkuyi–Unguwan Rimi–Basawa road linking Kudan LG and Sabon Gari LG.

Makarfi and Kudan Local Governments are among 12 local government areas in Kaduna State that have not benefited 1KM of road project in the past 12years. This is unacceptable. These groundbreaking ceremonies are therefore part of our administration's conscious and deliberate efforts to ensure fairness and equity in the distribution of infrastructure projects. The two roads are pathways to opportunity, and symbols of our shared determination to build a better Kaduna State.

On assumption of office on May 29, 2023, I pledged to take development to every village and community. Central to that promise is road construction. Well-built roads are the backbone of economic activity. They connect people to markets, children to schools, patients to health centres, and farmers to prosperity.

The Kaduna State Government is deeply saddened by today’s Abuja-Kaduna train derailment and wishes to assure all residents that every possible measure is being taken to alleviate the suffering of the victims. Immediate medical care is being provided to those affected. Our commitment to the safety and well-being of our citizens is unwavering.

From the moment we were informed, we mobilized resources to evacuate passengers safely and secure the site, working hand-in-hand with the Nigeria Railway Corporation and security agencies. A thorough and transparent investigation is underway to determine both the root and immediate causes of this regrettable incident. I urge the public to remain calm and patient as we diligently uncover the facts.

The Abuja-Kaduna rail line is a vital artery, powering economic growth, fostering unity, and bridging communities across our state and nation. We are resolute in restoring public confidence in this critical infrastructure.

To the victims and their families, please accept my heartfelt sympathies. Kaduna State stands firmly beside you. We will cover all medical expenses and provide every support necessary to ease your burden during this difficult time.

President Tinubu will commission the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Developer in Rigachikun, located in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) executed by Senator @ubasanius.

In addition to the Rigachikun center, Governor Uba Sani's administration has constructed two other Technical and Vocational Skills Acquisition Cities in Soba and Samaru Kataf, covering all three senatorial districts of the state.

These ambitious projects aim to transform Kaduna State into an IT hub, creating business opportunities and employment prospects while positioning it as a leading knowledge economy in Nigeria.

The centers can graduate hundreds of trainees each quarter, providing them with relevant certifications. The Kaduna State Vocational and Technology Skills Cities will offer training and certifications in various fields, including:
