It was an honour and a highlight to host the legendary Professor Mervyn King at our Eskom Board Induction in March at the Eskom Academy of Learning.

In an era where conversations on energy transition, sustainability and governance can become intensely polarised, Prof King brought timeless clarity: be pragmatic.

Our primary responsibility is to the company and to all its stakeholders. He reminded us powerfully that directors are the heart, mind and conscience of the organisation - guiding decisions with integrity, balance and unwavering accountability.

His words were a refreshing reminder of what principled, stakeholder focused leadership looks like, especially as Eskom advances its operational recovery, financial sustainability and a just energy transition for the benefit of South Africa.

Deeply grateful for Professor King’s wisdom, and the collective resolve to lead with conscience and deliver lasting impact.

Why is Terrence Howard ridiculed for saying that every element from the periodic table has a different 'tone'?

Each element of the Periodic Table has distinct vibrational frequencies, which are influenced by several factors. Each element vibrates at slightly different frequencies due to its unique atomic and molecular characteristics.

These differences are fundamental to the distinct physical and chemical properties of each element.

And yes, ultimately we are all made from one source, and the fact that he says changing the frequencies can change the element is true. Modern science can't do that, but who are we to say that it's not possible?

Light creates matter; ultimately, all matter is created from the non-physical mind of the creator, just like when you create an entire physical universe while you sleep. You create that universe with your inner light, and while you dream, that reality feels real. You can touch objects, interact with people, and experience pain and emotions. To the dreamer this is a real physical universe.

Very rarely do you realize that you are dreaming and that there is a reality beyond the dream. Similarly, awakened gurus and monks in this 'real' world realize that there is a deeper reality beyond our everyday materialistic illusion (dream), but you don't believe them.
