All the things you listed were Islamic culture, not Hindu culture. Centuries of violent Islamic invasions caused that damage to Hinduism.

Child marriage protected girls from their sexually deprived monster armies. Ghunghat hid them from soldiers who would pick any girl for fun. Evening weddings existed because baraats were looted and brides kidnapped. These practices arose from survival needs, not Hindu scriptures.

Before that, women had equal status in society.

In those times, there was no stitched blouse, petticoat or modern saree, just angiya (a cloth tied around the breasts) and a knee-length dhoti. Even in those clothes, women were not subjected to lust because most men had high moral values and character (except a few).

This was Hindu culture: Gargi debated male scholars in open assemblies. Lopamudra wrote verses of the Vedas. Karuvaki led an all women army against Ashoka in the Kalinga war. Draupadi questioned the court. This was not Western imported feminism. It was simply what Hindu society looked like before it was systematically dismantled.

The most feminist text in this civilization’s history is its oldest one. Everything after was men editing it for control and calling it religion.

Stop framing regressive practices as Hindu culture.

P.S. This doesn’t justify women wearing nothing and calling it ancient culture. Women should dress according to the occasion, not due to societal pressure, but as a preventive measure in this sex-obsessed society to protect themselves from pervy men who form a significant part of the population in any country.
