"A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people."

@theburlywon I think writers should write whatever they love! Rather than tell writers what to write I really meant for readers/writers to not critique novels based on unfair comparisons across genres😊
Just a reminder that "good" writing depends partially on genre. A good romance novel will read very differently than a good adult sci-fi novel or a good MG fantasy

@brclothwrites 2 things: Individuality and Consistency! All characters (hero, villain, side characters) should have unique personalities & ways of speaking. And then each character should be consistent in those things from beginning to end ☺️
I do like how poetic fantasy titles sound lately (e.g., A _ of _ and _ ), but also I cannot keep them straight AT ALL. How do you guys remember which books have the Courts and Fires and which ones have the Songs and Bones???

@CheekyLioness1 To my knowledge, chapter titles are never a requirement for fiction. But certain genres tend to have them, like fantasy and Middle Grade/YA, and they do just fine
@aspenjoliver @TheWordsmithKC Ah, makes sense! I suppose I was thinking more about biographical & narrative nonfiction. Those are more similar to fiction structurally, so I wonder how chapter titles would be perceived in them
