@LeftyWinter They called it for Hickenlooper. It figures it would be the name recognition crowd and privileged liberals fucking it up for us. Having to see the same with our attorney general race too.
DSA passed Principles for Party Building in 2025 to affirm our independence from Democrats. Anti-socialist ballot line laws can't deter us from using elections to build mass socialist organization. Instead, democracy & independence--markers of a true party--protect us from Dems.
It’s been three years since we formed our union. We still don’t have a contract. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing from us — the workers of @propublica — on why this contract is so important and the issues about which we care deeply.
BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds.
With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel.
The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education.
The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chrysler’s Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign.
Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the union’s legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.
🚨SCOOP: Lawmakers just slipped a line into a bill that gives Uber and Lyft a special get-out-of-jail-free card shielding the companies from lawsuits amid a flood of class-action cases.
@GrimKim I would like to give you an official invite to the App Workers panel on Friday morning at Labor Notes, where one of our own from @CODriversUnited will be speaking on our work out in Colorado as part of it! Look for our whole crew there too!
We could have seen a stop to price and wage surveillance like what they’re talking about here with HB 1210 here in Colorado, but @GovofCO decided that the feelings and financial interests of corporations mattered more than all of us who get ripped off and vetoed the bill. 🖕🖕
NEW: DoorDash has patented a system that lets companies offer promotional deals based on how stressed you are.
States are passing bans against surveillance pricing, and Big Tech is spending big to crush them.
We uncovered the $13K wine-and-dine that defanged Maryland’s ban.

What happens when you piss off Uber and Lyft drivers? This is what happens. Uber, Lyft and their puppets screwed over drivers statewide. They’re done playing nice and this is the start of the inevitable backlash. @CODriversUnited is DONE playing nice. Expect us, respect us.
Check out what we at @CODriversUnited just left at the Chinook Center in Colorado Springs! If you’re a driver for any app based company and you’re sick of how we’re treated as drivers, join us and help us fight for what is ours!
It took forever to create this, but after years of putting up with him, I needed to say it in a more eloquent way: Go to hell, Governor Polis. He’s been anti-labor and anti-worker and capitulated to a monster. Stay away from office for good, Polis.
You know what’s really astonishing, David? The fact that you’re on track to earn a billion you never even put in real work for, while your own drivers might pull $35k to $45k a year after everything else comes out while still doing actual hard work.

While others travel and celebrate with loved ones this holiday weekend, we'll be out working to keep our cities moving.
From airport rides to food deliveries, our work is essential 365 days a year!
@ClimateDefiance Outstanding work. To say that Polis is hated here is a drastic understatement - everyone wants him to hurry up and get out of here for good. The hate for him is nuclear level across the state.
ProPublica’s board and senior management hide when asked to engage with bargaining. The board meets today, but they won’t meet with us.
We will make our voices unavoidable until they agree to a fair contract, so today we welcomed folks to our office with flyers about our fight.
@jaredpolis She broke multiple laws. She used her office to do so. What part of this are you missing? Then again I shouldn’t expect any less out of a corporatist who can’t even find the time of day to actually back workers but will tell us to compromise with businesses that screw us over.
@sam_d_1995@hecubian_devil He’s awful on labor. He’s fixing to veto the Worker Protection Act (gets rid of a second required union election) again, killed an 80% take rate bill for Uber/Lyft drivers behind the scenes, is likely to veto a bill prohibiting wage surveillance algorithms - there’s so much.
