@Cloudflare OS gave agents the browser and the internet.
I gave Codex an x86_64 prison behind QEMU/KVM and told it to build an operating system from the inside.
It starts with an intentionally tiny kernel. If it wants interrupts, drivers, userspace, networking, better tools, etc., it has to build them.
Generation 2 has already hit the 64 KiB limit for accessing its own source code and responded by mechanically minifying every C and header file.
It now has 2,692 bytes of headroom.
I may have created software-development resource anxiety.
Who cares. Resolve the damn codex usage issues. Nobody in their right mind would pay $100-500 for slides. We have PowerPoint, it has AI integration through plugins, it also has collaborative editing.
I was paying $200 + VAT, next month I’m going to $20 because my codex barely lasts a day on 5x
October 4Downgraded from Pro 20x to Pro 5x
October 4–16Same workflow, allowances lasting multiple days
October 17Woke up to 0% despite going to sleep with 14% remaining
October 18Fresh weekly allowance; 60% consumed in one shortened workday
October 19Another 28 percentage points consumed by midmorning
My Pro 5x subscription consumed 60% of its weekly allowance on October 18 (900M reported tokens, GPT-6.1 Sol High, no Fast mode). Another 22 percentage points disappeared between 07:30 and 09:00 on October 19. Yet Usage → Analytics shows very little activity on October 18 and none for October 19 so far. Is this expected reporting latency, or an accounting discrepancy?
On October 15, the drain was much less, with much higher activity and 6.1 Sol High Fast. Also on October 17 I woke up with 0% usage despite having went to sleep with 14% left. I have no cloud agents running, all my computers were off over night.
Really irritating when I'm literally working on my own OS that was started from scratch!
Yes, I have daybreak, it's separate from sol 6.1 high, the daybreak blue model is weaker so I'd rather use better models when possible.
But come on, the entire source and git history is there. It's my own fucking project, get a grip.
@OpenAI@thsottiaux@sama@OpenAIDevs
What the fuck did you do to paying subscribers?
For the past two weeks I’ve kept the exact same fucking workflow. It lasted me for multiple days. Suddenly, with the exact same agents, usage pattern, in one hour since I started working I consumed 16% of my weekly allowance.
This exact workflow lasted me 3 days at a time. With this current rate, I’m gonna consume the entire allowance before afternoon.
I pay you guys $124/mo because $100 + 24% VAT
I have been paying the $200 + VAT before, but when you cut 20x, I moved to 5x as it was not worth it.
I’m done, goodbye, I’m cancelling.
Your 28 days of improvements have been 28 days of ruining your product.
@KronikStudio@Im_IrushiK Asked the orchestrator Opus to compare usage. yes, after seeing how fast it went down, I asked it to burn all of the remaining codex usage, plus the last banked reset, plus my 62500 credits. I'm gonna cancel the openai sub after.
