28 y/o who’s gone from Entry-Level Sales Consultant to Regional Senior Analyst at a fortune 50 company in 3 years. Follow me through the corporate gauntlet.
I’m 28 years old and I went from a role equivalent to cashier to a regional leader with a senior title in 3 years at a fortune 50 company. I lead cross-functional partnerships, implement change management, enforce policy/compliance, and more for hundreds of people. Take my hand.
I give you a coloring book and a crayon. You need to color a picture of an apple. I tell you, “DO NOT color outside of the lines.”
You have no time restraint.
You have endless crayons.
Would you be able to complete the task?
What’s the difference between this example and learning how to do MOST things that people get paid for?

Absolutely! Just in case somebody finds value in what I share. It’s not about me. I might make someone’s day better. Even if I don’t, that’s okay too! I had to make sure I tried my best just in case someone needed to hear what I had to say!

You did that already! Just do the same thing at your job until you are the popular kid!
If you want to get ahead, just be easy to work with. Show up on time. Do what you said you'd do. Bring solutions, not problems. Never create drama. Be responsive. Be emotionally consistent. Be kind. People will always want to support someone who just makes their life easier.
I’m in love with this sentence:
“A person's capacity for growth is directly linked to how much truth they can handle about themselves without running away.”
