Last night scum stole the statue of my Grandfather Teddy Baldock Britain's youngest ever World Boxing Champion. The statue was unveiled outside the Langdon Park DLR Station in Poplar, East London. Years of work and a stunning work of art by the sculptor, the late Carl Payne will be sold for scrap and melted down. Please retweet in case we can recover it.
@inn_hop What a fantastic find. The most friendly venue with so much information about the ciders and perries on offer. Seriously, get here if you can. I didn’t even get to look at the beer offerings. What a great place!
An important reminder today for Londoners: our city is - and will always be - for everyone.
We will always be pro-women, pro-diversity, pro-climate and pro-human rights.
These are some of the values that will continue to bind us together as Londoners.
BREAKING: https://t.co/JQWy2gTfhs just dropped a new track titled "Yes She Can"—and yes, “She” is Kamala Harris.
This is the anthem America needs to hear right now.
@IMcMillan @bbccslfest@R4TheVerb@BBCSO What a great event. I went out into the Hackney night buzzing and feeling so positive about East Bank. Especially as it’s just a short bus ride from home and I’ve got a Freedom pass!
A plea. If you see horrible tweets, please don't retweet them saying how horrible they are. That's exactly what they're hoping you'll do. There is great power in ignoring things. Muting and blocking without comment, as an act of self care, is a valid response to hate
@tfl Could we please have a bit of guidance as to where and when the 308 to Wanstead is going to run from stop W at Stratford Bus Station? Nothing about it on TFL Go.
@TheWansteadtap 😀 Famously, Tony Benn when he was a producer, tapped his pipe into a bin of the waste from disc cutting and it set light! I used to leave the World at One kippered!
@elizabethalker well that that takes me right back to studio PP1, in Portland Place. Listen With Mother #dolly A week’s worth of programmes in a day’s session. At least there were cakes in The Langham
