"Break On Through (To The Other Side)” was one of the first hits that set The Doors apart from other rock bands in 1966. In an early interview, when talking about the band’s name, Jim declared that they could only open the door, not drag people in.

The track represents breaking away from an established order and establishing that The Doors weren't afraid to push the limits of what was expected.
