I have consistently continued to respectfully appeal to those in office today to prioritise reconstruction and maintenance of existing roads and other infrastructure over commencing new ones.

I left someone in Onitsha on Saturday night to take the first bus to Lagos on Sunday morning. Until I left Lagos at 8 pm yesterday, he had not arrived in Lagos. He only arrived in Lagos at about 2 pm today. A journey that usually takes a maximum of 8 hours now takes nearly two days.

This is not just about bad roads. It is about lost man-hours, stranded passengers sleeping on highways, wasted fuel, damaged vehicles, delayed goods, and businesses losing millions of naira.

Nigerians do not need new projects just for the headlines. We need functional roads that make life and economic activity possible.

A government must understand that infrastructure is not necessarily about the size of the project; it is about the number of lives and livelihoods it improves.

A new Nigeria is POSSIBLE, and Nigeria will be OK. -PO

Today, I must bring to the attention of all Nigerians an alarming act of political intimidation. As the NDC candidate for Surulere 1, alongside Mr. Peter Obi and other NDC supporters, I was dismayed to see over 50 of my big campaign banners removed by the APC-led Lagos State Signage LASAA. This was carried in their truck with security escorts.These banners, placed in public spaces, were taken down while APC banners remained intact.
Their spokesperson of the LASAA told me that the poles were lagos government property and it has been assigned to “ Outdoor Practitioners”
They claim to take it Alausa, only for me to discover this evening that my banners are hidden somewhere in the surulere Local Government Area in onilegogoro

I ask: what right does the signage agency have to silence us during this crucial election season? INEC has lifted all bans to ensure free campaigning, and we will not accept this bullying. Meanwhile, Barakat,s banner is still intact , Fuad,s posters are all over the place
I call on all Nigerians to see what the APC government is doing to us and to question why they fear a fair contest.

I also call on the national leadership of the NDC to investigate this intimidation and demand that APC stop this bullying of opposition parties.

I often think of my place in this country and how sometimes my head goes, Tinubu hasn't been that bad a president because I can afford my own needs.

My activism is borne out of camaraderie not personal lack.

Because judging by my personal experience alone both Buhari and Tinubu haven't been bad presidents. How can I think they have been when my own life has improved significantly?

I often have to live out of my own experience and put on the shoes of the common man to be able to maintain my resolve that they have been terrible presidents.

No I believe they have been terrible presidents, that's what the evidence shows.

But I have figured ways to insulate myself from those experiences which makes acknowledging the evidence something I have to be intentional about.

I want to live in a country governed by the rule of law. That's my only ask.

A country where people who do the right moral things are not punished and criminlas are rewarded.

The avg Nigerian is a principle-less, spineless loud mouth whose entire perception on morality is shaped by how much of any situation adversely affects him or benefits him.

This is why he's hesitant to dismatle the structures that oppress him because he hopes that one day, he'll be the one with the power and he doesn't want the avenue to oppress others closed to him.
