For those just finding out about Pasión de las Pasiones by @bleongambetta and @MagpieOfficial, let's travel back to 2019 when Matthew and Brandon talked about expressing love passionately and what makes this game tick. https://t.co/df65uyK10K
Someone has just suggested to me that since PbtA games don't have dungeons, adventures, or bestiaries that there's nothing there for people to talk about and to that I say
1) The Hard Move exists to talk about *individual moves*, and
2) Great Monsters Of Crime
Hard to believe it’s been that long! Thank you to everyone who made seasons 1 & 2 such a success and to those of you still listening. Maybe someday we’ll be back for season 3! -M #MyTwitterAnniversary
Listening to a pile of episodes of @TheHardMove by @SidneyIcarus is doing wonders to help me refine Circles of Power. Folks should be sure to listen to this excellent podcast.
So @TheHardMove I wanted to respond to a couple of your questions in the episode, since you specifically asked (and also I want to justify some of my decisions).
So I am not offended by you calling Pay the Price out as the least interesting move because I kinda agree with you.
If you enjoyed the Tell A Story episode, check out Dave's & Nick's combo overview/review of Escape from Dino Island here in video form: https://t.co/IUfOyB4Ogf
The Hunted wouldn't exist if I hadn't listened to the episode of The Hard Move (the podcast Matthew started, now hosted by @/SidneyIcarus) about Escape From Dino Island so I'm very, very happy about this thread, frankly
@yes_jon @4EverGMPod@unplaytested@bleongambetta Brandon’s episode was really moving for me (Matthew) as well, not to mention what a great designer and all-around wonderful person he is to talk with. Pasión’s questions mechanic is also one I think about often, even outside PbtA.
It's time for another #5ttrpgs mini-review! This time, it's my (much-delayed) thoughts on Escape From Dino Island, by @stung_art and @Samnite.
Short version: buy this game. It's a masterclass in PbtA one-shot design, from the mechanics to the playsheets.
