I like this!
Perfect timings for weekends away, must be what they're aiming for market wise.
Suppose you can self connect onto AF if needed, which could be a huge boost for EMA. We've needed a big hub back in the network after AMS was removed, this is a baby step but still 🤞🏼

I'm sure BA are purposely trying to become a meme airline... there's a translate button on every post and if they're using some sort of software within the social media department then surely they have a translate feature handy? Or multi lingual staff?
@Raleiro Hello, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, at this time we are only able to respond to English comments. If you would like us to respond, please resubmit in English. Jo
I must say I'm loving the refurbs going on at EMA recently!
New look security is great & feels open & modern.
I think the last 2 times I've been through it was less than 2 mins each time, compared to the 10-30 wait time before.
People flying from East Midlands Airport are now greeted with a totally refreshed security experience once they have checked in, following a major refurbishment😍
Finishing touches have now been made as part of a project to transform the security hall at East Midlands Airport, a key component of a five-year, £120m investment programme. The move was prompted by a Department of Transport requirement for all UK airports to upgrade their security scanning technology to next generation equipment.

Oh so they have announced EMA now! 😍
So glad to see this. Having Tui is great but we needed competition & variety imo.
Flight times also much better than expected, thought we'd be getting 3am returns!
Really hope this is successful 🤞(I'm sure it will be)

Flights & holidays to go on sale soon
Had a lovely flight down to Kos yesterday with Jet2.
Pretty smooth all the way and still arrived on time despite French ATC trying to delay us.
Now time for a week in the sun ☀️
Always fascinates me when places like Santiago, Split & Bari can attract massive airlines like this.
Understand they're still big destinations & United will have tonnes of connecting PAX, but still fascinating that they make it viable!
@SeanM1997@GLA_Aviation It's literally so easy to quote posts & if anything, it's better because you can add your own comments to it, then someone can click through to your post if they want to see it.
Appreciate the work you put in Sean. It's just a shame some ruin it by blatantly copying you.
@blindspotsguy@SPD_travels Usually if it's a Chinese airline it'll make most of it's profits from Chinese tourists & those visiting back home. And they probably won't 'need' to advertise much outside their home country.
Reading this really shows the strong passenger growth EMA is getting next year!
Some good destinations & really excited to see SunExpress operating here. Hopefully they're successful 🤞
Strong cargo & pax routes upcoming, maybe some big city destinations soon 👀
Next summer is shaping up to be bigger and better at EMA ✈️
@SunExpress joins East Midlands Airport with flights to Antalya from next Easter.
@jet2tweets has added seven new destinations for summer 2026: Agadir, Costa de Almeria, Preveza, Thessaloniki, Chania, Pula, and Split.
@TUIUK will reintroduce its route to Sharm El Sheikh next year.

London Heathrow Airport has submitted plans for a third runway, estimated to cost £49bn (all privately funded)
This would involve a 3,500m long runway, new terminals, demolition of Terminals 1 and 3, and the rerouting and expanding of the M25 motorway
Sat up watching this as the storm had just passed over, ATC did well moving aircraft around once they could.
Looking at videos of the Newark area, I'm not surprised they had to stop ops, crazy weather!
Omg, looks like @United's having a *rough* night at Newark.
Obviously, the weather is bad, but these two planes landed at 4:40pm ET and *they're still sitting on the tarmac* more than 4 hours after landing.
Major yikes. Paging @SecDuffy!
