@cmkusher Universities need to be held accountable for producing graduants who get well paid jobs, so they can reduce their uni debt quickly. If they can’t do this, they should have to repay some of the debt.
@ellymelly This situation reflects very poorly on the Liberal party. If they simply adopted Trump style policies they would win easily. The Liberal party in several states and nationally seems to be lost when in opposition. It is hard to believe how they are sleepwalking into a loss.
@markbouris Politicians are enabled and encouraged to engage in short-term thinking, policy development, and budgeting. It hurts the country in the medium to long term. Voters need to reward politicians and parties who think long term.
@MRobertsQLD Need to learn from Argentina and DOGE in the US. Our public service needs a major reset. The incremental, insipid change offered by milquetoast Dutton is not the solution. Need a real conservative government.
@nick_coatsworth Agree. Having a surplus, and a sovereign wealth fund, are national security measures. We know there will be new financial crises, pandemics, natural disasters and wars which will incur huge costs. Note setting side funds for such a situation is political and financial negligence.
@AvidCommentator It would help if Dutton stopped dropping the ball, and started releasing some large, transformative policies that address the top 3 issues people care most about.
