Dems need to internalize this. This was not the worst case scenario. A more competent Republican Party is doing Reagan numbers right now and that’s not a joke. Burgum wins New Jersey. Haley wins Illinois. Despite how bad this is there are even bigger warning signs flashing red.
I would be wary of analysis saying "young men fueled Trump's push for victory" etc. Early on, it seems the reality is even more impressive for Trump. This wasn't a coalition thing, and it wasn't really strategic targeting.
He just...did better *everywhere*. With almost everyone.
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy.
But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.

@SherwoodStrauss I once had literal human shit thrown at me while walking to the university I attended in the bay. Yes that person needs help, the city isn't fixing it, and anecdotal evidence isn't every reality. It is a potential reality though.
