I want to shout out to my amazing team who worked on Cosmic Crisis for season 9. So many people who worked on it were part of the layoffs, but I’m so dang proud of em.
so, enough time has passed now for me to talk about why i decided to leave Blizzard. a mixed year with great teammates, but a management that mistreated, lied to me, gaslit me, gave me a fake promotion, and HR that refused to help.
buckle up friendos. 💪
Yeh it's been tough, just going to travel the world with the fam then settle back into some hyper-growth opportunities. Hope you peasants are all g at the bottom without your jobs.
Tone-deaf dickhead.

I've been impacted by recent layoffs at Microsoft/Blizzard and am actively seeking my next opportunity in cinematic and gameplay development.
I have 13 years of diverse experience, specializing in keyframe animation for creatures/bipeds and motion capture pipeline, I also have experience in managing and leading teams.
Any assistance or connections would be greatly appreciated!

Evening all. Unfortunately my role at Activision Blizzard is likely to be impacted alongside other members of our team, but I'll still be around for a bit while options are explored. In the meantime if anyone knows of any CM roles available I'd be keen to take a look. Cheers! 💙

Sledgehammer Games is going back to remote work as they find a new office, a move many employees have called a "slap in the face" after many workers have been forced to quit due to Return to Office mandates.
what did i say
WHAT DID I FUCKING SAY
@Qwik everyone TOLD you this was a mistake. you've fucked over so many people. get out of games and stay out, you useless, self-centered oxygen thief
I feel like this just really. Really. Shows who he really is. Don't let this be forgotten, that this is how a leader exited the company, while so many of his employees are crying and broken and scared.
Fuck off, Mike.
Remember that, in California, even if you get severance, you can still receive unemployment.
Severance is what's owed to you in lieu of a stable job, but unemployment is yours as soon as you lose your job.
You paid CA's high taxes for this safety net, use it.

@AdamHolisky For me it's trust. I don't trust so many leaders who are starting these studios, and I think that's something I need to work through but just because they're smaller studios doesn't make them "better". So I'm out of games.
To those impacted by layoffs, check out the art and animation job google doc. It's a very active collection of job postings in our industry. I hope this helps. I'm sorry you've been hit so hard <3 https://t.co/K0WnNo4f4X
“Impacted.”
“Affected.”
“Land on your feet.”
“Next adventure.”
These have become the stanzas of a dirge this bloody industry plays far too often. An expanding library of trigger words that we shouldn’t have to say.
It isn’t fair. It isn’t right.
Blizzard telling people they can no longer work from home and forcing them to move to California, to one of the most expensive areas in the US, just to lay them off is really the epitome of corporate evil
