My very rough EEZ map of Wang Yi's Pacific Islands (PI) tour. The only fully independent PIs he's skipping are ones that recognize Taiwan or have Compacts with US.
Even without them, pieces are in place to try to build a 'first island chain' to hem in/interdict Australia & NZ.
Shout out to @FisherPrice for building resilience in my toddler by deploying this terror on the 22nd day of the Thomas & Friends Advent Calendar #AdventCalendar#psyops#resilience

It would be surprising to many whose lives were saved by seaplanes (Eddie Rickenbacker, George Gay, among others) that the United States flies no rescue seaplanes today. https://t.co/MCeyTJ1zhP

“The Roman Empire did not have air power, the Roman Empire failed ipso facto the Roman Empire failed because it didn’t establish air supremacy.” Billy Mitchell, 1931

- a realistic strategic choice for 🇦🇺
- a consequence of the absence of effective regional security framework to prevent it.
“Asean cannot act as the bridge between 🇨🇳 and 🇦🇺”

@jpclark97 With out a doubt the most blindingly obvious statement I heard in reference to domains was ‘we are starting to think there isn’t five domains, that there is only one domain’. 🤭 a real ‘there is no spoon’ moment for me…of course there is only one! Reality!
