Silent GENOCIDE unfolding.
13 days ago, Sudanese students studying in Kenya approached me seeking help with student VISA and other immigration issues; cases resulting from the refugees influx situation due to the ongoing war.
Sudan is not just in crisis. It's collapsing. Over 13 million people displaced, thousands dead, with reports of chemical weapons, mass rapes, and ethnic cleansing. Even UN aid convoys are under attack, with the latest case as recent as 30th May 2025. This isn’t war. It’s the calculated destruction of a people.
Yet, too many in East Africa remain silent, misinformed, or unaware. Why? Because the world reports in Arabic or whispers in diplomatic jargon; while our fellow Africans are slaughtered in broad daylight.
This war, if unchecked, will spill across borders. Sudan’s fall is not isolated; instability knows no visa. Today it’s Khartoum, tomorrow it could be Nairobi, Kampala, or Juba.
We must challenge ourselves to care. To seek truth. To reject comfortable ignorance. Peace is not a slogan; it is action.
I call on the international community to stop observing and start intervening. I call on East Africans to ask: What if this were us?
Don’t scroll past Sudan. Stand with its people. History watches & it remembers.
Rose Njeri will be produced in Milimani Law Courts today 3rd of June 2025. Let's hope all goes well.
She's been allegedly accused of "Creating awareness on Finance Bill 2025".
Shouldn't we have the right to information?
