Starbucks' new CEO will fly 1600 km to office everyday on private jet, refuses to relocate away from home
And here I was wondering how much planet earth I have saved by avoiding straws and using my own cup 🌎 ♻️

My little girl is in the ICU fighting seizures and brain swelling from a virus. If you pray, please pray for her. If you don’t pray, please keep her in your thoughts. We need all the good vibes we can get. Please share this if you can so my little girl can feel your support ❤️
@chrishlad@paulg As for the bill gates stuff, if he was still able to perform consistently without a break, that is his way of working and comfort.
One cannot just say that not taking a break is hard work for sure.
To be clear, I enjoy my breaks and do need them to recharge my soul.
@chrishlad@paulg It's different for everybody.
As @paulg mentioned, you yourself know when you are putting in hard work and when you are acting to be working hard. Everybody can work out their own levels by crossing it and then seeing what was the tipping point towards reduced results.
@kchakicks@SahilBloom Agree, it's impossible to come back in the game once you have slipped but for a lot of kids, it was the game at some point.
Newer ones like TTRE provide a better experience now.
Waiting for the thread, bet it will be more rewarding than the pair of Park place & Broadwalk.
@NatalieFratto@chartsncrafts Perhaps we also make science look like religion once old, I.e. take statements on face value without understanding the science behind it once they are prevalent.
For eg. Fasting is observed as a religious act in many areas from old times, we also know it has a science behind it
@paulg nails it in this essay as to how schools made us resent work and look at it as not needed.
"Strangely enough, the biggest obstacle to getting serious about work was probably school, which made work (what they called work) seem boring and pointless."
@mrcabasvidani@shaneparrish Only reading and not putting into action is not going to lead to improvement.
The same holds true for having knowledge and not putting it to use.
@delivreal 💯 taste evolves with experience, work and time. This evolvement is what differentiates the creators from the dreamers.
One who actually tries achieves. Creating and letting ideas flow is what is going to propel us ahead. 🚀
@delivreal Sure taste in inherent but some people do have the knack of building what can be said acquired taste.
It is easier said than done and it is the most sincere ones who can do it.
There is a very fine line between acquired taste and imposter syndrome which also looks the same.
@kapoorkkunal@kapoorkkunal you have been quite vocal about mental peace and holistic development and taking in the right stuff only.
@JamesClear has a very nice take on content diet management if you want to have a look.
