How is it stealth mode if SherwoodRegistry publishes the payment key against a username?
Anyone who knows the handle can pull the viewing key and scan SherwoodAnnouncement for that user's incoming payments. Unlinkable to each other, sure, but not to anyone who checks the registry!!!
@forezy_ resolveSecp256k1(username) returns the viewing pubkey to anyone. Can't they then scan the announcer and pick out which one-time addresses are yours?
Or how are you dealing with that I couldn’t see?
🚨The UK 30-year gilt has not closed below 5.03% at any point in the past year.
The highest it ever closed during the LDI/Truss crisis was 4.99%.
Every day of the last twelve months has been worse than the worst day of the event that ended a premiership. Nobody has resigned, because it took two years instead of three days.
In September 2022 the 30-year moved 130bp in three days. LDI funds hit collateral calls and sold the exact asset that was falling. The Bank bought £19.3bn to stop the spiral. That is what a forcing event looks like.
There isn't one now. Just a gradient. The British political system does not respond to gradients.
On 28 April I wrote that the marginal buyer of UK government debt was no longer a pension scheme matching liabilities but "an activist hedge fund running a basis trade or a relative value position, and the duration of its conviction is measured in weeks rather than decades."
In July the Bank of England published that hedge fund gilt repo borrowing is "driven largely by leveraged relative value strategies," and named the cash-futures basis trade as the example.
They sat below zero in gilt repo until 2023, lending cash against gilts. They crossed to net borrowers in 2024. Borrowing has fallen since the spring but long gilt futures open interest hasn't. The trade never came off. They rolled it.
The 10-year closed at 5.067%. Its benchmark carries a 1.125% coupon and matures in 2039. That is what Britain agreed to pay when it borrowed the money. £141bn matures this year and every pound of it gets refinanced at the new number.
Everyone is watching 28 October. For my money, the number that decides it lands in February.
It's official, Unitree the 8000x+ retail oversubscribed humanoid company in China.
Is expected to go public in 2 days! So the 19th.
Opening is implied to be around ~$41.66B MC per derivatives, around +363.3% above its ~$9B IPO valuation.
Fun times for humanoids this week.
