@Mookafish Only soft spot: you put the radiator at 25°C. A two-phase loop may hold the whole panel near GPU temp (~70°C), and since rejection scales with temp⁴, that drops it from ~425 to ~240 m².
@ZacksJerryRig Notice the radiators are turned edge-on to the sun. The solar panels face the sun for power, the radiators dodge it for cooling. The whole shape is built to do both at once. These guys thought about heat harder than anyone in the replies.
@alt_w_v_g Public school is generally better than the 50k a year private school unless 1) public school is violently dangerous, or 2) your kids are average. Then maybe private school. Otherwise it’s a waste of money; they neither accelerate or support your kids.
@teachthemx3 GT teacher meets with the kids three times a week. She has a group project for the group, and customizes the curriculum for each child. She helped my child skip a grade (3-> 4), and is teaching him pre algebra and chemistry. 40k a year private school had zero answers for us.
@ellelledeell@eduleadership@AlexKontorovich I agree with you. But I’d point out that this is a bigger problem in private school. Even elite private schools (e.g 50k a year tuition) don’t have the resources to cater to smart kids.
@eduleadership@williawa@AlexKontorovich Got a 6th-grader already tackling algebra? What’s school even for? Private or public, U.S. classrooms rarely accelerate gifted kids—forcing parents to DIY with homeschooling, AI, and Khan Academy. Meanwhile China celebrates advancement; we shackle our best. Why?
