Here's the problem - "keeping doctrine in its place".

These categories; distinct, independent and self contained are not real. This chart then is a purely theoretical and theological construct - not a biblical one. It's extra-biblical in the worse sense of that phrase.

For example, Calvinism and Arminianism (as systems of theological logic and reasoning) are themselves defined by how they define other complex realities like the nature of Christ and the sinfulness of man and visa versa.

Distinctions and categorizations charts like this act as a tool to hide the contradictions institutional Christianity wants to hide for the sake of a manufactured external unity. But it does so by manipulating how the Christian is to process the relationships between these realities. They are told not to connect the dots, not to make sense of truth.

You look at this chart and you say, "Perfect, Calvinist and Arminians have no reason then not to join together in Christian unity, truth and love." But we know this is not the practical reality - Calvinism and Arminianism are two diametrically opposing ideas which when fleshed out present two distinctly different portraits of Jesus, the nature of sinfulness, justification, etc. Naturally the sides then should unite like oil and water. Theological mechanisms bought in to retard nature; spiritual relational nature (Matt. 10:34-39) which says oil and water will not mix is therefore logically unbiblical - violating the very nature of the gospel - however you understand it - as divisive.

So what are these strict scientific categorizations doing to Christians and Christianity? 1). It's confusing Christians; it tells them to ignore the implications of their Christian training and understanding (primary to secondary, secondary to primary, etc) At the very least it encourages Christians to practice a private/public duplicity (to lie) whereby they privately hold to the specific, far reaching logic of their beliefs while publicly and universally ascribing to and uniting around an inorganic, general consensus of lest common denominator ideas.
2). It institutionally destroys the efficacous logic of the Scriptures - and thus good consistent theology - again by chocking off the import of impeding implications. 3). It kills good profitable Christian debate and evangelism. And 4). Quite plainly it destroys the Gospel - whatever you think the Gospel of Jesus Christ is, strict scientific categorization that interrupt the flow of logic (for whatever reason) destroys it. I could easily defend the thesis that it creates another gospels altogether.

Christians need to train themselves not to think in accordance with strict scientific (theology is a science) constructs of categories and distinctions and reject them.

Trust the leading of the Scriptures; practice its logic, following and apply their implications where they follow. The church of Jesus Christ is the church of Jesus Christ - HE will build His Church.

Our Lord was not averse to conflict or disagreement in the church of His day. In fact He announced the destruction of the church of His day and not only was He crucified for it, it fueled hostilities against the Apostles and the NT church after Him. (Matt 26:61,62; Acts 6:13,14).
