Chair of the Dept. of Behavioral and Molecular Neurobiology, @uni_regensburg. Interested in understanding neuronal and molecular basis of social behavior.
Thrilled to share our work on HDAC1-mediated regulation of social fear, which is just out in Translational Psychiatry.

Big thanks to the twitterless Anna Bludau and @TheNeumannLab for making it happen.
Out now on Bioarchives, our study from @TheNeumannLab by @LauraBoi_ and me, together with Alexandre Charlet:

Here, we identify a sex-specific role of oxytocin signaling in septal astrocytes in regulating social fear expression.

Our latest paper by Cindy Grossmann is now out in @PNECJournal. We show that mating with ejaculation can reverse conditioned social fear in male mice. This effect is mediated by oxytocin signalling in the lateral septum. @TheNeumannLab

@AnneZMurphy@lyoun03 The neuropeptide community lost an omnipresent key figure, a blessed speaker, a critical and inspiring thinker and a very very good friend. We will miss Larry a lot! My heartfelt condolences.
New paper alert! Here, we show that miR-132 mediates the oxytocin-induced reversal of social fear. This work done by the X-less Anna Bludau from the @TheNeumannLab and @MeisterLab is out now in @molpsychiatry

I am really happy to share our (mine and
@TheNeumannLab) views on OXT as a molecule that helps the detection and processing of social cues out now in @NatRevNeurosci

Interesting new study! "We propose that this intrinsic interoceptive mechanism modulates OB neuronal activity e.g. during arousal and also could influence brain activity on a wider scale." https://t.co/yRvcD8RLJA
