True. this essay doesn’t address the littoral/chokepoint threat model at all. The BBGN’s setup makes it uniquely capable at CSG defense against saturated salvos, not minefield transit.

Different tools for different jobs. I don’t see no reason why the BBGN can’t be accompanied by dedicated MCM platforms, manned or unmanned.

I actually don’t disagree with the doctrine of distributed lethality. This is built around the hard constraint of the mandate for 11 carriers.

It’s an entirely reasonable point to make that we should change the law and do away with capital ships all together.
