@pourdavouducla A year ago The Pourdavoud Center hosted a tribute to our founder Dr.Ehsan Yarshater who passed away in September of 2018 at 99. His legacy lives on at PHF and PHF would like to acknowledge the kindness and warmth of The Pourdavoud Center during our grieving.

PHF would like to acknowledge Latifeh Yarshater who passed 20 years ago as a pioneer for women. She was USIS cultural advisor in Tehran 1951-1961 and a founding member of the National Council of Women of Iran. An author of English and Persian literary pieces, she is missed!

Our Founder and former President, the esteemed Dr. Eshan Yarshater. Dr. Yarshater was a Professor of Iranian Studies at @Columbia. He was also the founding editor Encyclopædia Iranica.
