@ThinkyCrow@EdSunday2@jeremyct If it’s his dream school and he wants to pay go for it, however, if not do like I did and got a juco for two years first to save some cash to pay for the dream school. Welcome to adulting.
@NickZiegler20 They 💯 need a salary cap and a floor just like the other professional sports. That way the dodgers can’t game the system and pay 2 million to a guy that they are really paying 70m!
@dustinswedelson They need a floor and a cap. The dodgers have one guy making 70 million. That is the guardians entire payroll…. The point is evening the playing field where everyone has the same opportunity.
@middle_class_us If you want to cut 50% or better or Americans off from credit cards go ahead. The reason the rates are so high is because it’s unsecured credit, no one is forcing people to borrow money on them.
@jeremyct Tell me you don’t understand compound interest without telling me you don’t understand compound interest…. Also, someone should have read the loan docs before signing them.
@RevivedDrip Wages have gone up significantly but not at the rate of inflation. Pushing them up further just creates more inflation. It’s a vicious cycle and the economy is due for a pull back to clean a lot of the excess out of the system and reset it a bit if you will.
@RevivedDrip Yes, and the 30-50% gain coincides with when all the COVID money got dumped on the economy. They dumped 7 trillion dollars into the economy, roughly the amount that was in circulation at the time, all at once and then the government was shocked we got massive inflation.
@RevivedDrip I understand your position but the this time is different mantra was captured in a book by that same title, if you have not read it, I would encourage it. Not saying housing prices won’t move more than 2% per year but even at that in 20 years that’s 40%.
@RevivedDrip While I don’t disagree, but many people choose to live in HCOL areas. If you’d have bought a house in the 70’a and sold in the 90’s you made money. Bought in the 90’s sold in the 10’s made money. Those people thought houses were high just have to be old enough to remember
@JordanDove If you are waiting for 3% you aren’t going to see it again. Those people 4 years ago could have refin’d in the high 5’s well below the 7% they have, they wanted to be greedy and wait for the covid 3%. If it hits the fan in the stock market the government 99% of the time steps in
@RevivedDrip The point is that you have options, not that the rate environment is good. Rates go in cycles, can I predict them no, no one can but eventually they will come back down, and you just have to decide if you want stomach them or not.
