I think if people really want to move past this, the only way to do it is to acknowledge what is really going on.

This isn’t about drama between community members. If it was no one would actually care. The reason there are appeals to end it is because of what the underlying dynamics of the “drama” implies. And it’s not good news for anyone invested in protecting the status quo of the faltering disclosure movement.

This is about the fact that people who have been critical of Lue Elizondo have been repeated doxxed and had their lives publicly threatened by a group of individuals that we can all name. And those same individuals continue to be publicly followed and supported by Lue and his cronies.

That’s the issue. And it’s not an insignificant one.

Continuing to turn a blind eye to that and asking victims to be silent so they don’t kill the vibe is not an acceptable take at this point for anyone who truly cares about the movement and the community. I’d really recommend you leave that one in 2025.

If you’re going to continue to ignore what’s going on so you don’t have to grapple with the implications, that’s your business. But if you’re going to engage with the discussion, at least do so in good faith and actually acknowledge what it is that people are saying instead of arguing with straw men.
