Unofficial account of a speed enforcement biker.
I have a very particular set of skills... I will look for you, I will find you, and I will send you a NIP
A purely unofficial and slightly tongue-in-cheek account from one of Britain's most hated people!
Tweeting insights into my daily struggle against stupidity, and the odd serious Road Safety message as well.
Maybe you'll see me out on the network. Or maybe I'll see you first? π
@WorcsTravel@farsondigital Looks like a 07-14 model X-Trail. I had one for a couple of years. Cracking vehicle. Lovely on-road, competent off road, great spec...
Not a boat, though...
@Mad_1nventor Well, as you asked - I think it's pointless to speculate about the circumstances, and unwise to pass comment when not in possession of the facts. This was a safe overtake and within the law. Was it appropriate/necessary? We don't have enough information to say, so let's assume so
@jim8oy@NorthantsPolice It's not nonsense though... Any motorist prosecuted for careless driving due to a close pass has the option to defend it in court. If the incident doesn't meet the criteria, they're not found guilty...
@wozbunny@rwhitehouse13 I hate to break this to you, but it's NOT because of the camera. It's because he was A. speeding and B. not concentrating. And if he's one ticket away from a ban he obviously makes a habit of it...
Just been told I'm a waste of taxpayer's money... I'm conducting speed enforcement on a walking route to two primary schools, at rush hour. There are literally toddlers walking past as this individual is having a go at me
I AM SAM.. a thread..
Β
I am Sam. I am a Detective Sergeant and I am parked in a lay-by in a remote country lane, itβs dark and I am late home, again. I am crying.

Na Na Na Na Na, etc...
@Learning2drive_@ediz1975 Interesting... Is his attitude towards those pedestrians VERY different to that of motorists who complain about cyclists on the road not moving over, etc? π€
Food for thought...
Out of everyone who's ever done a wheelie on a public road, 100% of them thought they were doing it in a controlled way and 0% expected to crash.
Same as all phone users, drink drivers and test pilots...
Does the motorcycle "community" think that's also OK?
@visordown Out of everyone who's ever done a wheelie on public roads, 100% of them thought they were doing it in a controlled way and 0% expected to crash.
Same as all phone users, drink drivers and dual carriageway test pilots think they're in control, too.
@KevinBa08978662 @CommunitySpeedw I had it this very morning
"I wasn't speeding, was I?"
I'm afraid so, you were doing 45 a posted 30
"oh, sorry... I'm lost, you see"
@Biking4Pleasure You and I think the answer is obvious... Others not so much!
It baffles me that anyone will entrust their safety to the skill and diligence of total strangers who so often don't deserve that trust.
Every day I see people arguing about blame, "right of way" and the Highway Code.
Being right doesn't make it hurt any less when you crash. We MUST all learn to anticipate where and how other road users might cause problems and do what we can to mitigate for our own safety
