A Primer on David Yannetti @BostonDefender
He's embarrassed and ashamed. Does Voss have any idea who he is? Lawyer of the Year! Confidante of the mighty Turtle! Do they have any idea how many friends he has? The kind of friends that matter too, such as at the US Attorney's Office(or at least they used to be).
For David's friends and family, I have some simple questions for you to ask him.
1) David, did you lie to Boston Globe Reporter Voss in the summer of 2023 when you told her(as did Jackson and Turtle) that you had no contact with Aidan?
For those friends and family who might dismiss this question this way: "Oh, it's OK to lie to someone like that, she's biased anyway."...Try again. You see, for that first article, Voss had no idea where the truth was in this case and she set out to methodically and objectively investigate it. What she wanted to know was just how closely had the defense theory been planted with Turtle. Just how much were they working together. Because at that time, virtually all of the public's opinion on the case was shaped by what Turtle put out there. That's just good reporting.
And Mr. Yannetti flat out lie. Later, the phone records would show dozens of calls and texts in those early weeks between Yannetti and Aidan Kearney, and more recently, the actual content of many of those text messages was leaked, and it showed just how much in bed he was with Turtle.
Tell me, in Yannetti's primer yesterday, did he apologize for that blatant lying?
2) David had lunch with Turtle the day after the Rolling Rally in which he led a crowd of over a hundred people and dozens of cars and a bullhorn to harass these people in their homes. Did he discuss it the Rally with Aidan at that lunch? The leaked messages show David being concerned with Turtle picking up witness intimidation charges. Did he discuss the Rolling Rally with Aidan before it took place? Did he advise
3) Gretchen Voss points out in her recent article that the defense team, shortly before the Rally(and other efforts at harassment), filed motions in which the witness addresses and numbers were listed UNREDACTED. She implies it was a clever way to leak that information to the public, and of course to Turtle. And in case Turtle couldn't glean them from the motions, Karen was there to help point it out. What do you say about all this, David? What do your friends and family say?
What we're looking at here are clear patterns of conduct. The defense team intentionally created a maelstrom, a witch-hunt atmosphere designed to pollute the jury pool and victimize the witnesses. That's beyond any reasonable discussion at this point.
As far as the minor correction of a lengthy and thorough article, the magazine obviously erred on the size of caution, because you were not merely referring to the police and you know it. You were referring to the 'real killers', as you saw it.
Can we conclude that you had no problem with the many, many elements of the article which portray you in an unethical, even scurrilous, light?
You've been exposed as what you are. Own it.
BREAKING: David Yannetti CALLS OUT @GretchenVoss64 and Boston Magazine for inaccuracies in her blog that she has failed to correct over 24 hours after the publishing of her hit-piece:
I have NEVER seen so a "journalist" write so many PROVABLE LIES. Gretchen Voss should be a-fucking-shamed of herself and Boston Magazine, you are disgusting for letting a writer print a smear campaign like this against an ACQUITTED WOMAN and a man who was framed as well. @DoctorTurtleboy should sue your ass. Shame on you. The fact that you would write such lies just shows your lack of integrity and ethics. I can't wait for the day this is all proven FALSE.

For the REAL story:

One word: FINALLY.
Finally, a journalist and a major media outlet had the courage to follow the evidence instead of the narrative.
Bravo to @GretchenVoss64 and @BostonMagazine for publishing a thoughtful, fact-driven piece that many others were unwilling to write.
Please take a few minutes to read it. Then share it far and wide.

In Boston Magazine’s latest issue, Gretchen Voss uncovers a major story that deserves your attention.
Inside the Campaign That Acquitted Karen Read:
For three years, the witnesses in the Karen Read murder trial were harassed at their jobs, their homes, their children’s sports games. It wasn’t random. It wasn’t a movement of true believers. It was a coordinated campaign against them. And now they’re fighting back.
The real story isn’t the one you’ve been sold. The deeper you dig, the clearer it becomes where the corruption and conspiracy lie—and it’s not where Karen Read, Alan Jackson, David Yanetti, and Aidan Kearney told you to look.
It’s online today: 🔗 https://t.co/jRlIMD0frd
Not only was he allowed to stay, then Kearney was allowed back in the courtroom for the second trial—think about that.
Even the jury wasn’t protected.
Jurors asked for help because they felt intimidated, yet their pleas, along with so many others, went unanswered. There is no greater responsibility for a court than safeguarding jurors so they can deliberate free from intimidation, fear, or outside influence.
The O’Keefe family wasn’t protected. They were forced to walk through screaming crowds every time they came to court, watch people hold tailgate parties outside their loved one’s murder trial, and endure some of the most vile insults imaginable simply for trying to enter the courthouse.
The witnesses were not protected. They were left to fend for themselves, while their repeated pleas to state and federal officials for help went unanswered. Hundreds—if not thousands—of people harassed, abused, and stalked prosecution witnesses simply for answering questions from law enforcement and testifying when called upon. Yet, aside from Aidan Kearney, no one has been held accountable.
The people responsible for protecting the integrity of the justice system in Massachusetts failed.
This is inexcusable.
@GretchenVoss64 Great work Gretchen. Back in December, 2024 the podcast 34 Fairview Road also spoke out about this witness intimidation issue and jury pool tainting efforts. https://t.co/ftByir6nj8
@GretchenVoss64 I can't even imagine how the witnesses are feeling today after reading this. You are amazing and brave and appreciated beyond words. Thank you. ❤️
In Gretchen's article she interviewed Colin and Brian Albert, as well as an unnamed former US Attorney. Brian and Colin both told her that when they were aggressively questioned and treated as murder suspects by federal prosecutors, that Adam Deitch and Josh Levy projected my tweets and articles onto a screen that were used to interrogate the witnesses. The federal prosecutor she interviewed told her that prosecutors at the USAO routinely read my articles for years, and that "10% of the time there may be something there" that they could use. There have been at least 2 other federal prosecutions (Monica Cannon Grant and Michael St. Pierre) as a result of my journalism.
In other words, my journalism and tweets in and of itself was directly petitioning the government. It was found valid enough to be used as evidence by seasoned, professional federal prosecutors, who Gretchen Voss is trying to attack in an attempt to save the Michael Morrissey's reputation.
The Karen Read story is truly remarkable, a testament to how an astroturfed campaign can generate a mob that subverts justice and punishes the innocent. Quite a long-form article laying it all out from Boston Magazine. You wonder if all the creators who either fell for the lie or were complicit in spreading it will ever admit what they did.
