@TheHistoryGuy07 "Floods were common and no big deal"
No, actually they were a big deal. Especially when you're an agrarian culture that is likely living in a flood plain (since that's where the fertile land is). That's why multiple cultures have flood stories.
@TheHistoryGuy07 "In Genesis a day is defined by the Earth’s rotation on its axis"
TF?? No it isn't. In Genesis, the Earth doesn't rotate at all. The authors of it believed the Earth was stationary, flat, and covered with a dome.
@pukeslime@endabortionmeme Because it isn't what the initial person said? Do you not know how a strawman works? If they had asked if that's what they meant, in order to steelman it then they'd have an argument. As given, they don't. They're arguing against a position they made up themselves.
@DvtArulpragasam@tompin@darwintojesus Oh, didn’t recognize you. Yeah you don’t have evidence of god. You have provided evidence of your profound mental illness.
@TheHistoryGuy07 Can’t have a relationship with someone I don’t believe exists. If your god exists, my lack of belief in it is due to its action/inaction.
