Ah yes. They "just" released this 6 months ago. Doesn't run well on a dgx spark even with community fixs, is not a good model to talk to even when you do have the hardware running. It's exciting to see as an os project for sure and I'm looking forward to the next release from NVIDIA. With all that being said, your post is noise and you're getting muted.

It wasn't the authors of the paper that were rage baiting, it was the poster who hasn't taken recent advancements into his view of the world. To say AI isn't doing science is wrong when it's solving long standing computer science problems.
As for bio, Chem, material science and physics research they are already assisting the scientists in the field with better simulations, analysis. Etc.
Fully automated research agents in these fields will come once the training harnesses are improved for this kind of work.
There were real gaps and still are in the models that the researchers tested, but author of this post was 100% rage/engagement baiting.

I remember having to paste chatgpt into vs code, we've come so far.

My AI coding journey of the things I was using daily:
* Tabnine
* ChatGPT and paste into vs code
* VS codes early version of copilot or the og codex that doesn't exist anymore
* ChatGPT pasting into vs code again with the og reasoning models.
* Claude Dev (Cline) + open router
* Claude Code cli
* Codex cli
* Back to Claude cli

Now I main Claude agents cli view, use grok code for some things, and the chatgpt/codex app for others.
