As it is so readily absorbed, larger doses don't cause loose bowels, but can cause hypermagnesemia symptoms and diuresis. If there is Mg deficiency, larger doses may be tolerated until the deficiency is resolved.

I’ve only experienced this with magnesium bicarbonate. After years of using various other forms, it occurred to me that I’d never seen the desired effects. Mag bicarb produces the chill pill effect for me immediately even at relatively low doses ~30mg elemental mag.

Magnesium is a chill pill. It helps you perceive your environment accurately. Without it, you're in a constant state of heightened anxiety and fear, overreacting to everything that occurs.

Everybody is deficient in it today.
