@cervidswag If you didn't know better, you'd think English had nicked half its words from French (and mispronounced them) (and pretended they came from Latin).
@NadiaWhittomeMP Men are not a "marginalised group" and saying men are men is not "dehumanising" them. Quite the opposite.
She was the best Labour MP. Stood up for women.
@RobertJenrick It's great that you Tories are admitting so clearly that it is all your fault. The solution was simple, you were told many times, but you failed to do it.
Well done.
@peterboghossian Basic fallacy (i.e. dishonest trick in argument) - the fallacy of relative privation (or appeal to greater harms).
Women can't complain about anything unless it's the biggest problem. You have to be a real dimwit to try and use that one.
@MattPolProf I quite like the idea of racist fuckwits all sitting around reading "Emma". Asking each other little questions like : which character is much spoken of but never speaks? What is the solution to the riddle Mr Woodhouse half remembers? Who, if anyone, broke their spectacles?
@ElectionMapsUK Ridiculous to call not voting "apathy". People who are entitled to vote but do not are equally content with all the options. Might as well call it "contentment".
@tomhfh Attaching the bottle tops is a great innovation!
Many fewer items of plastic trash. Also, only one item to put in the recycling, and can't lose the top between servings.
@KingBobIIV@Keir_Starmer Starmer did not fail to mention the Leeds riots. You are a liar.
He issued a statement to say that the actions were "shocking and disgraceful". .."disorder of this nature has no place in our society.. the police have our full support.. in taking the strongest possible action.."
@KingBobIIV@Keir_Starmer He did not fail to mention the army officer. You are a liar.
E.g. 24 July: "I am shocked and appalled by the news that a soldier has been attacked in Kent.
All our thoughts are with the soldier, his family and our Armed Forces community, who serve to keep all of us safe."
@BarristerSecret Isn't the more simple defence of "necessity" available to those who cause damage to save a life? Fire fighters can break things, ambulance can speed, absolutely not with impunity, but with the doctrine of necessity available if charged.
@AllisterHeath Was there an exact moment when the Telegraph veered into alt-right madness? I remember it as a respectable voice of the Tory party. Awful, but sane.. and now a constant torrent of this nonsense. Does anyone know?
